Dribbling Doubles Number Watching Broadway's Tony Awards

Sunday's TV ratings indicate over 15 million viewers watched basketball while only a little over 6 million tuned in to the Tony Awards. In fact this was the fewest ever who watched the Tony Awards. I'm not surprised. Here's why.

There are two things I found as negatives...
(1) They tended to shove the gay agenda down our throats. (2) Reinforcing my opinion was the fact they handed out more of the top awards to "Fun Home" rather then "Something Rotten" which I thought was much more deserving for the following reasons.

"Something Rotten" has complicated choreography tap performances following along the lines of traditional over-the-top big finale ensemble Broadway musical numbers. "Fun House" had none. Checking out the various clips online, I found "Fun House" to be like watching a bunch of kids (singing off key) putting on a amateur middle school musical.

As far as I'm concerned this was yet another attempt to shove the gay agenda down our throats. Why? Because according to Wikipedia, "The story concerns Bechdel's relationship with her gay father and her attempts to unfurl the mysteries surrounding his life. It has been called "the first mainstream musical about a young lesbian."

Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with gays or gay rights. However when Tony members' voting overlooks the obvious ("Something Rotten") to promote their gay agenda I do have a problem with that. In fact the whole Tonys show started out on a gay note with Alan Cummings. Sorry but gays are still a minority. If this Tony broadcast expects to attract more mainstream viewers and Broadway enthusiasts they need to take it down a notch.

Which would you rather?
"Something Rotten"

OR

"Fun Home"

To my way of thinking "Something Rotten" won it hands down compared to "Fun Home"
