CPAC-2021 Using Symbol Of The SS

Some still might be confused what 'CPAC' stands for. I've watched a number of speeches and I've come to the conclusion it stands for the 'Conspiracists Political Action Conference'.

It seems every speaker sees conspiracies all around them. Only they can save the United States from the members of the communist Democrats who are extremists in cahoots with China. Nearly every word out of their mouths is meant to generate paranoia and fear.

So this is the new GOP?
Sorry, I liked the old one much better. One where members actually had some ideas how to run the country. This rather then relying on scaring the hell out of people into voting for them. One that didn't have a golden idol of Trump adorning the emblematic 'Nazi'  like stage event.

CPAC has always been a show but nothing like this.

Would You Pay $4,500 For Brand New Electric Car?

Too bad for you..
it's not for sale in the U.S.

interestingengineering.com
$4,500 Budget Electric Car Outsells Tesla Model 3's in China
"The budget electric vehicle (EV) is selling for $4,500 as part of a joint venture with U.S. automaker General Motors (GM) that goes by the name of Wuling Motors locally."

Hell in this country $4,500 may not make a down payment nor leasing fee for a new car buyer or lessee. Why is it vehicles, medicines and just about anything else in the country cost many times more then just about anywhere else in the world?

No wonder we have so much poverty.

However there is an alternative available right now.
The Cheapest New Car In The USA

It's full list price $17,000 before credits.
So I'm still not certain it will be the bargain this man claims it to be.

Serapeum At Saqqara In Egypt- Ancient Technology?

I've been following Brien Foerster tours on YouTube for years. As much as I'd like to take one of them they are far too expensive for me. I've posted a couple of the explorations he made in Egypt.

Brien and his wife made Peru their home. On his channel description.. Ancient Lost Worlds and Hidden History. On location videos made by author and adventurer Brien Foerster exploring Peru, Bolivia, Egypt, Hawaii, Easter Island and other exotic places. With special emphasis on evidence that advanced technology and human history are at least 10,000 years old.

Another exploration worth noting is his visit to the Sphinx.

He provides creditable proof we know little about ancient technology. Certainly a lot more questions then answers. Almost like exploring a completely different planet then the one we live on.

Hundreds of other videos can be found on his YouTube Channel.

Xenobots (Manmade Robot Living Lifeforms)

No longer a question of “can we,” but “should we?

The reason I say this is because every technological advancement humans ever created somehow ends up be weaponized. If these buggers colonize amongst themselves who knows where things might end up. No matter how noble the scientists ideas someone always sees more destructive purposes for them.

Fire was intended for good use before villagers lit them up against their neighbors. The Wright brothers could never conceive one day flying machines would be used for killing machines. Same goes with nuclear energy and many other innovations.

These little buggers particularly disturb me because they can self heal and eventually self learn as their program becomes enhanced. Mostly, by their extremely small size, go undetected by our normal senses. Maybe this might be the reason we've never discovered life elsewhere. Could they be so small we've overlooked them? Even possibly living among us from elsewhere already?

Sounds like some sort of Sci-fi movie.

Could they become a threat?

One never knows do one?

Tucker Carlson Says Solar Panels Fail In The Cold

The short and sweet of it.

Artificial Intelligence To Superintelligence

I've been somewhat fascinated by this subject for some time. It is my belief "intelligence" will occupy what ever form is available to it. Whether it's jellyfish up to humans intelligence it finds a home. Evolution by it's very nature is forever evolving. There's no reason humans could be the last stop. In fact we may be appointed by whatever the source is to help create the next step.. intelligent machines.

Intelligent machines have distinct advantages over flesh. They have no need of oxygen (or other gases), water, atmospheric variables such as temperature or pressures. Lifespans become meaningless as well. Worn parts can be simply replaced, even upgraded to reflect changing conditions.

Of course we have a vested interest in not being replaced. This didn't stop dinosaurs and other animals from becoming extinct. It's scary to think whatever the intelligent source for our being would move on without us. However it's quite possible it holds no allegiance to us. Rather it's own progress forward is it's supreme goal. Since we have no clue from whence we come it may be impossible for "it" as well as us to ever develop a bond between the two. Fact is our dependence is on it (our source) rather then whatever it is not owing it's existence to us.

All this leads to speculate (since we're late bloomers) intelligence might have already far surpassed our puny flesh. Indeed whatever advanced intelligence may exist has no interest in us whatsoever anymore. In this case we'd be about interesting as a lump of coal. Maybe that's a good thing since we don't know how we'd be viewed if we drew attention to ourselves.

All this might sound a bit crazy but I never seen a sci-fi writer who didn't consider such things in the plots they wrote. Many of which turned out to become realities with today's technological achievements. Never say never. Too many impossible achievements have proven possible over my short life span to discount what may lay ahead.

Elon Musk on Artificial Intelligence

A lot to think about isn't it?

Let me explain where I stand. THERE IS NO THING SUCH AS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Intelligence is intelligence period. What we think of as artificial simply means we consider intelligence beyond our understanding as artificial. This because we are by nature vane, egotistical and unwilling to accept our limitations. Intelligence is not manmade. It exists with or without our understanding. Nor depends on us in whatever limitations may or may not be.

Norton- What The Hell Is This About My Blog ?

Which BTW there are none on the right

I just happened to do a google search for my blog. I have Norton installed for years spending a pretty good buck on it and THIS IS WHAT THEY CAME UP WITH?

If you don't have Norton installed you won't see them. Norton is a browser add-on. No I'm not going to challenge it but I find it fascinating every other blog I've Googled didn't have a caution flag on it. Each had a green checkmark. Why me?

I also consider it extremely odd never once has Norton popped up an alert on my blog webpage while viewing it. My blog (along with comments) are far less offensive or controversial then just about anything I read elsewhere. I also wish to point out every single one of my links were never flagged when I visited them. Otherwise I never would have posted them here.

It most certainly can't be the number of links either since The Drudge Report has nearly 100 of them and it too has a green checkmark. It can't be my statcounter because other sites use that as well. Even the statcounter website itself has a green checkmark.

I pride myself on sourcing every one of my facts. Never asking for money. Annoying people with constant popups. One thing I can guarantee my readers 100% there is no reason to be cautious of anything you come across here.

If anything Norton is the problem. It constantly pops up on my desktop trying to get me to buy stuff. Something I cannot opt out of seeing. Dozens of email solicitations ever since Life Lock bought it out. They've even changed the setting for my passwords I once used to store strictly on my computer alone. Now they captured them and put them on their cloud servers. There's no way to change it back like it use to be. Talk about a security risk if there ever was one. Even if I quit Norton they'd still likely have passwords to every one of my accounts. If there ever was a reason to caution flag someone Norton would be it. So right back at ya Symantec (Norton). Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Now let's see if they red flag my blog in retribution.

AOC Raises $2M For Texas

crooksandliars.com
Where Are Republicans?
"You'd think Republican lawmakers FROM Texas would be interested in fundraising for their own people, right?"

These people weren't elected by Texans to represent them, yet taken it upon themselves to do whatever they can.

President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Approves Texas Emergency Declaration
(02/14/2021)  "The President’s action authorizes the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to coordinate all disaster relief efforts which have the purpose of alleviating the hardship and suffering caused by the emergency on the local population, and to provide appropriate assistance for required emergency measures..."

You folks down in Texas need to start recognizing which party represents your best interest.

FOX News On Blitz Blaming Turbines For Texas Power Failure

BUT HERE'S THE REST OF THE STORY..

Will Texas learn anything this time round?
I highly doubt it. They didn't before.

As I said many times, stop watching FOX News. You can't learn anything from them. If anything it will only make people dumber. Their entire premise is opinions are more important then facts. They provide comfort food for idiots.

The sad part about this whole thing is not just the people suffering (some dying) but now taxpayers all across the country will be called upon to bail this continued stupidity out. This while rich investors continue to line their pockets as a result of poor political leadership.

Texas Frozen Wind Turbine Crisis Self Created

The biggest reason of all is... because Texas is the only state to opt out of joining the national electrical grid. This along with doing a bunch of half assed short sighted engineering jobs. Perhaps Texas ought to check with Norway, Antarctica and Alaska to name a few who use turbines successfully below freezing temperatures.

Best Years Behind Me

Not just me but possibly the entire generation I grew up in.

When I graduated in 1966 it took me one week to get a job with Allen Organ on my very first interview. Two years there I finally landed a job in radio broadcasting. After two years of being taken advantage of walked out and two short weeks later landed a job managing and maintaining a large apartment complex. Eventually that job soured and I applied for a job with Kraft foods. I was hired the same day I applied and started one week later. Where in today's world would these things ever be possible.

When I worked in radio we took a bus trip to Niagara Falls Canada for a country concert. The night before I and a couple of others decided to cross the bridge into New York to go to a disco. I got a hoagie and loaded. Walked across the bridge back to Canada. No passports were required. No questions were asked. Almost for 50 years of my life you could simply hop on a plane without going through any kind of security. We took cruises to the Caribbean. Again no passports or metal detectors required.

I started out earning $93 week. Rent was $96 a month. Groceries and gasoline combined cost me around $35 a week. I even managed to buy a brand new Volkswagen Beetle on this salary. Banks were paying around 5% interest on savings.

My God how things have changed. In today's world everyone is suspect. Things are more difficult in every way. I shall remain ever grateful for the era in which I was born just after WWII. If there was one shooting in Allentown in an entire year it was front page headline news. I have no idea how things have become what they have. Today we like to "TALK" about freedom and morality. Back in those days most people never did. They just lived it.

Maybe I was naive or plain ignorant of such treachery back in those days. Whether that be so, in my twilight years I'm forever grateful I was born when I was. I can honestly say I had a pretty good life. Now that I no longer travel, remain relatively healthy and have no need for a job it's pretty damn good now as well. I remain ever hopeful to have many more. So too I wish for others to have the good fortune to live their lives as well as mine has been. Also to be aware of the more positives that you too experience along the way.

Hey Kids, Remember Pinky Lee?

"Hour Magazine" (1987) with 1950s TV star Pinkie Lee

According to Wikipedia, Pincus Leff was an American burlesque comic before appearing on his own kids TV show. He died in 1993 at 85 years of age. Much more information can be found on Wikipedia if you have further interest.

I'll admit I wasn't an aficionado of his show. Occasionally I watched it when I was a kid. These were the days when kid shows featured real life hosts. To name a few Buffalo Bob, Captain Kangaroo, Soupy Sales. Here locally Wee Willie Weber, Chief Halftown, Captain Noah, Sally Star, Gene London, Happy The Clown along with others. Today's kids mainly experience cartoons. Somehow they've been deprived of the human element replaced by over the top unrealistic animated super hero characters.

Some of my other Saturday morning shows  I enjoyed (pending my age) was SkyKing, Fury, Andy's Gang (Andy Devine), The Little Rascals, Romper Room and Rootie Kazoodie, Roy Rogers to name a few. All of them advertising cereals and toys kids were suppose to nag their parents in buying.

Wonder why main stream networks abandoned shows like these?

George Carlin On The State Of The Universe

George took the long way around to explain why he doesn't give a s*^t. What an enlightened man. He'd make Buddha proud.

This is sort of my mood today. Just sit back an watch the circus. Post a few clips of things I enjoy. Other then that little else matters to me at this point. Too much drama overload for the moment with all that's going on in the world outside my personal life. Nearly 100% which I can do nothing whatsoever about.

As far as personal life it's doing great. Soooo why would anything otherwise outside of it matter anyways?

Hint: It don't.

Expect future posts to reflect accordingly.

1st Studio Recording Of "Me & Bobby McGee" Janis Joplin

That's some damn fine singing. All done without echo, equalizers, instrumental back tracks, chorus vocal backup, pitch adjustment or 'auto tune' equipment. Today there's so much processing done music loses it's soul. In this one Joplin's raw talent comes shinning through.

It's a shame we don't get to hear more of these (not only hers) that were left left on recording studios floors.

Nobody This Young Can Learn To Play Music Like This

It's got to be inherited in their DNA

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for folks who spent years trying to get to this level. Especially since they are doing it without the benefit of sheet music.

Senate GOP Picks Up Where It Left Off..

.. sabotaging Biden like they did Obama.

Mitch 'Grim Reaper' McConnell is back at it again trying everything he can to stop Biden in his tracks. The same way he did while Obama held office.

If you recall the GOP inserted almost 200 amendments into the 'Affordable Care Act' causing it to be almost 700 pages long. Even after Obama semi-agreed to them NOT ONE SINGLE Republican voted in favor of it. Now they're at it again. This time with double the amendments.

nypost.com
Senate GOP led by Mitch McConnell to force votes on COVID-19 relief bill
"Senate Republicans led by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are preparing to force an all-night series of votes Thursday on COVID-19 relief, including on thorny issues such as yanking funds from schools that won’t reopen and allowing the construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline to continue... A grueling debate on up to 400 Senate amendments will begin Thursday afternoon."

In essence these are 'poison pills' being inserted into the bill which will make impossible to pass. I'm of the mind you can't reason with the GOP. No matter if you give up 10 things they'll demand 10 more delaying passage till time expires on the bill. They only understand one thing...Democrats must be defeated at all cost in every turn even if comes at the expense to the country. Compromise is not in their vocabulary. What bunch of swell folks.

Biden made it very clear he doesn't expect to get everything he wants but this kind of crap is surreal. It benefits no one. Just two weeks into Biden's presidency and already they're starting this garbage again. It's more then clear the GOP's intentions are going to repeat doing what they've always done.. fight like hell to destroy the Democratic party. The problem with this kind of thinking is, if this president fails so does the country. Our adversaries couldn't do a better job under minding us Disgusting!

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell sums it up in 2010

A leopard doesn't change it's spots.
He hasn't changed one bit.
The goals remain the same.

Quick Questions

Every news story I've seen over the last ten years describe every new apartment building will consist of  LUXURY apartments.

Does anyone ever just build plain old apartments anymore? If so, what do they look like? Would it mean they have a shared bathroom/shower down the hall? Only outside stairs? Plywood floors? One pull chain light bulb with an electrical outlet? Pay phone in the hall? A plastic utility sink? Only a electrical hot plate to cook on?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Madam Secretary Another Favorite Show Of Mine

This series ran six seasons. From September 21, 2014 till December 08, 2019. Another one that writers kept a form of relevance to the real world. Damn I miss these kind of shows. The ones where the highest form of integrity predominated. Here's a few clips.

It ran for seven seasons from September 22, 1999 till May 14, 2006.

Case of one of God's creators both great and small. Take away the fact this is a bat (whom we've demonized in movies) it's quite a friendly animal come to think of it. Not something I'd want in my home but otherwise I'm A-OK with it. Not too bad looking kisser either.

Instant Karma For Porch Pirate

Snow Season- Here We Go Again

Every year the city collects these items placed in the street to hold cleared out parking places.

With this in mind...
Everyone has worthless stuff laying around their house they don't want. You know, broken items they'd like to get rid of. Things the trash truck wouldn't ordinarily pick up. You know, like a TV, computer, old tire, car parts, air conditioner, rusting broken down motorcycle, worthless good for nothing in-law, etc.

Be it far from me to suggest...
My Bad. Never Mind. Forget I brought it up..
    Just kidding. :-)

Neil deGrasse Tyson On UFO's

2015

I can so relate. Years ago I was out with my coworker on a work call at night. We we're at 14th & Walnut Streets in Catasauqua. All of sudden I saw it. The thing couldn't have more then 500 feet above our vehicle. My coworker slammed on the brakes. We both got out to take a better look at it. My heart was racing because all my life I wanted to see one of these things like so many others have.

As I was jumping up and down pointing at it my coworker interrupted. He told me to take a closer look. He said it was nothing more then Goodyear blimp taking off from the nearby airport with it's brightly lit advertising scrolling on the underside.

Man dem aliens sure do know how to disguise their spacecraft!
