Surnames can come from their various 'dynasties', but can also sometimes change due to their 'line of succession'. That is, if they choose to use them at all. Hey, when your royalty you get to make the rules, right? :-)
How The Game Is Played The line of succession goes from the first born eldest male heir to the throne (Prince Charles). The next in line would be his first born male child (not his brothers). In this case Prince William. Now that William has had a son, that son becomes 3rd in line (knocking Harry out of 3rd place pushing him back to 4th).
Let's mucky this up a bit more. If Prince Charles never had a son his younger brother (Prince Andrew Duke Of York) was 2nd in line to the thrown. However since he has had two sons, Prince William and Prince Henry Charles Albert David (Prince Harry), that pushed Andrew back to 4th place.
Prince Harry was in 3rd in line but now that William & Kate had their baby that pushes him back to 4th and leaving Prince Andrew now 5th in line for the throne. Prince Andrew's 2 kids along with Prince Charles's other brother (Prince Edward Earl of Wessex) are pretty much out of the running as they are now in 6th thru 9th heirs to the throne. They could be pushed back even further if Prince Harry were to have a son sometime in the future. Clear as mud, eh?
Fret not. If your still confused (and who wouldn't be) check out the royal site for the whole scoop on 'succession' and 'precedence' for the royal events. There's also a listing of the current sixteen royal families. In addition check out the currently occupied royal castles and palaces along with the 23 others which are no longer occupied and a whole bunch of other goodies.
Nearly every site is now using them. They really get under my skin. First off they are "java" scripted meaning we don't know what they will do.
They are absolutely unnecessary. These serve only two purposes. It either benefits a site monetarily or there's some other nefarious reason for them. Merely clicking on the "X" or "SKIP" is an acknowledgment for whatever purpose the web creator designed them to do.
Clicking on them provides a means for a web designer to acknowledge your approval for something you may or may not fully understand or agree with. Common sense should dictate why they would be necessary in the first place. In short, don't never ever do it
This goes double for a pop ups claiming you've been infected.
I've already ran across some that refused to let me close the browser. Here's how to get around this problem. Press the CTRL-ALT-DELETE keys simultaneously. This will bring up the "Task Manager". Chose "end the task" option for the browser. Restart the browser and use the tools menu. Under the internet options delete the files. Then close the browser, restart and repeat this procedure a second time and you'll be A-OK.
Above all else never ever acknowledge a pop up of any kind no matter what.
1. The next time you order checks have only your initials (instead of first name) and last name put on them. If someone takes your checkbook, they will not know if you sign your checks with just your initials or your first name, but your bank will know how you sign your checks.
2. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put "PHOTO ID REQUIRED" in the signature space.
3. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the "For" line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check-processing channels will not have access to it.
4. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box, use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks, (DUH!). You can add it if it is necessary. However, if you have it printed, anyone can get it.
5. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel. Keep the photocopy in a safe place. Also carry a photocopy of your passport when traveling either here or abroad. We have all heard horror stories about fraud that is committed on us in stealing a name, address, Social Security number, credit cards, etc.
6. When you check out of a hotel that uses cards for keys (and they all seem to do that now), do not turn the "keys" in. Take them with you and destroy them. Those little cards have on them all of the information you gave the hotel, including address and credit card numbers and expiration dates. Someone with a card reader, or employee of the hotel, can access all that information with no problem whatsoever.

Here is some critical information to limit the damage in case ID theft happens to you or someone you know:
1. You should cancel your credit cards immediately. The key is having the toll free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.
2. File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc., were stolen. This proves to credit providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one). However, here is what is perhaps most important of all.
3. Call the three national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and Social Security Number. The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit.

Most of them seem like trick questions to me. Course it may seem they are only because I may be lacking common sense :-) Let's see how well you do.
Hard to believe I once passed an Army intelligence test. Course they were looking for suckers volunteers to snoop out where Vietcong troops were hiding in those days. Fortunately they gave me this test before I signed the enlistment papers. The way I figured it future wouldn't be looking bright after taking that test if I went ahead with it. Especially since they said I'd most likely become a radio operator which goes along with that. I decided instead to take my chances and wait out the lottery drawings for the draft. Turned out my number was 265. The list that year stopped at 150. I've been losing lottery drawings ever since, but still consider myself fortunate. So many of my friends from high school were not :-(
A bit of a weird story. One of the guys at work was a radio operator during Vietnam. He had a second guy who would always go with him on advance patrol. He said the radio batteries were so damn heavy to carry in the hot jungles so he took them out of his radio to make his load lighter. Then one day they came under attack. He jumped to one side of the path while his companion (carrying the much needed extra batteries) jumped to the other. After some arguing he said toss me your batteries. Several days later they came across some Marines having lunch. When they weren't looking he took one set of theirs so he wouldn't get disciplined praying he wouldn't run into them again.

Everyone should check their router to be sure they are password protected. When I look at my mobile devices two wireless networks come up besides my own. One is the neighbor's to my left. The other to my right. Fortunately they both are password protected. Is yours?
By password I don't mean the factory default password. Everyone knows those.

Eat up massive amounts of bandwidth charged to your account which also slows down your connections. All of which appears as you are the responsible one doing whatever they actually are. Even having access to anything shared on your computer within your own personal network.
Why would a neighbor pay for internet access if your providing one free to them?
Here's how to create a password. (1) Open your internet browser. (2) Type in the URL address http://192.168.0.1 << This is the one most routers use & login. (3) From there I cannot help you as each router may be different. In my case they call it 'pre-shared key' under the manual wireless settings. If you don't know how, pay or get a trusted someone's help.

Before I watched the following video it brought back a memory of mine. When we went on our first cruise we had to fly to Puerto Rico over the Atlantic Ocean.
As we flew at 30,000+ feet I stared out the cabin window for at least an hour trying to catch a glimpse of something below.
At some 6 miles above the Earth one can see 100's of square miles of surface below. One would think I'd have spotted at least one vessel. Perhaps a small plot of land. SOMETHING? ANYTHING? NADA!
My perception of just how huge and remote this Earth can be changed that morning. My imagination wandered into thoughts of the near impossibility for rescue in this remote area if one were to be run into trouble even if the plane were to survive the impact. This wasn't fear, but more like 'wow we sure are in the middle of nowhere'. Throughout my life there's been a tree, a street or building. There's no way one could orient themselves when there's nothing to orient to. There's something new and weird about being humbled by the sheer vastness of it all.
I did this same kind of observation aboard the ship some 11 decks above sea level. Except for occasionally spotting a passing ship I saw nothing. For me personally when it comes to the size of the sea I have a much greater appreciation of it then I did before that trip.
I was left with an sensation of how small we are in all of this vastness of this the Earth we call home. It also showed me how dependant we all are on familiar surroundings. So as you can see this wasn't just some trip, but also an opportunity to reflect, absorb and add to my experience in this life and the weirdness that ensues when we're removed from our everyday environment.
So when it comes to the question how big is the ocean, these thoughts best describe my personal sense of it.
COMMENTARY Believe me when I say there's no stronger advocate for someone taking personal responsibility then I. However when someone's involved in an accident it is not time to make such a statement. It's best to remain with lips sealed until such a time as they have legal representation. Save the honesty and offers of restitution for the court room under advice from an attorney.
No one's saying someone shouldn't clear their conscience and be honest, but that's best left to a time when any such statement won't be able to be used against them to the max.
Let me explain. I was friends with a fella who started out on his destiny to become a lawyer at Temple University Law school. The question was presented, suppose you were sitting at a red light waiting to make a left turn. Someone driving a ratty old pickup without a license comes up behind you and rams into you. Your car is then propelled across the intersection into a double parked private limousine. Who do you sue?
The answer is the limousine. Why? Because he's the one most likely to have money.
A lawyer can argue that if the limo wasn't parked illegally in the first place you injuries may never have occurred. The defendant's attorney on the other hand could counter sue arguing if your vehicle's wheels weren't cocked in the limos direction none of this would have happened in the first place. In the end you (the victim) could be found guilty as well as the person who hit you from behind irregardless of what charges were filed by the police when it comes to civil liability claims.
I bring this up because according to the article "Police said the impact pushed the minivan into southbound traffic." Which direction were the wheels pointed on the minivan that might have caused it to veer into southbound traffic?
So no matter how well intended, by stating "It's all my fault", this guy made it nearly impossible for a lawyer to defend him. I am in no way trying to look for a way to get this guy off the hook, but he's made things so much worse for himself then need be. As you see he's been locked up without bail. He could end up owing multimillions dollars in lawsuits, paying for highway cleanup, traffic fines and/or even spend decades behind bars. Quite possibly he won't be able to get commercial motor vehicle insurance ever again either.
I'm sure when this 56 year tractor trailer driver woke up that morning he had no intention of killing someone. He seems to be a honest guy. His honesty will not be rewarded. It would have been so much better for him to 'zip-it' until such a time where it would be more legally appropriate to do so.
I urge anyone who ever gets involved in an accident provide only the minimal details required for police to file their accident report. Save the explanations, apologizes and confessions no matter how compelled or well intended. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Besides all the admissions in the world will not change what happened.
There's nothing barring someone from rendering aide and comfort, but don't necessarily expect that to be a consideration by a jury in a court of law after admitting total responsibility. The sad fact is, no matter how well someone may feel inside about coming clean, it matters little to others when meting out punishment.

The whole concept of 'chained CPI indexing' assumes that by reducing Social Security payments seniors will buy alternative cheaper items and still be able to afford basic needs. However seniors' needs are different then most other age groups. The chart below represents a comparison over the last 30 years between two methods of calculating the effects of 'Chained CPI indexing. The one doesn't factor in seniors requiring different expense then the rest of the younger population. The other does. About 30% of those over 62 years of age rely on Social Security for 90% of their income while presently 13% of us as a nation are 65 years or older. So this is a big deal.
Everyone should readily see that those relying on Social Security for most of their income will not be able to find cheaper alternatives for their current healthcare coverage . Compounding this problem for them are the increasing monthly costs for Medicare and the supplemental plans coupled with ever decreasing Medicare payments to doctors, hospitals, nursing facilities as well as for medications.

Here's Another Thought. Most seniors spend every dime of their retirement income which puts it right back into the economy. It isn't like they are taking their Social Security check and investing it for sometime in the future. So giving them a couple of bucks more to live on isn't as though the money won't be spent to help keep the economy growing. On the other hand if you take out $339.8 billion in total from changes in the program over the next 10 years, that's $339,800,000,000 less seniors have to pump back into the economy.
Besides the 500 uninvited gate crashers that showed up were about 50 cops and an ambulance or two. Hey at least it wasn't at her home unlike the month before when a bunch did show up at a 16 year old's party and trashed that house worth over an estimated $1.4 million!
Well here's a flash. If you go to tools/internet options and delete your temporary files and think they are gone.. YOU'RE WRONG!
Even though your files have been deleted every one of them have been previously compressed and recorded to a file called "INDEX.DAT". That file is invisible, even if you change settings to make system files visible. That file is system protected, backed up in three locations and cannot be deleted manually. You can verify this for yourself. If you navigate to your temporary internet file folder and copy it, then paste it into another folder of your choosing you will see all the files you thought were erased.
You can verify this by: You will be surprised to learn even though you used the browser to delete those files.. NONE OF THEM WERE DELETED!
In addition there is another folder called "Flash Player//#shared objects". In this folder are cookies that your flash player created. You would have to navigate to it's location and have to delete those files by hand to erase those. As if that weren't enough there is an additional folder called flashplayer/sys. In this folder are *.sol files. These files contain settings and the name of every site you visited that utilized them. What I did was create folder shortcuts to the latter two so I can manually delete them.
NOTE: This sends them to your "Recycling Bin". Where you have to delete them there as well.
As far are the INDEX.DAT file, you need special software to erase that one. I use a program called CCleaner. Which is a freeware program.
Even that doesn't do it completely on only one run. After doing my own research I've found after you run the CCleaner you need to restart your computer. Then before doing anything else, rerun the CCleaner again.
You may ask who cares? As the video demonstrates above all these files combined with cleverly designed cookies or a maleware program will harvest a whole host of information about you.
Or if you take your computer in for repairs, sell it, give it away or have it stolen, your information can be harvested quite easily.
This is not just about your internet activities. In addition, for every site you visit as well as other off-line activities, windows creates "log" files. For example, what videos you've watched, last few programs and files you used, etc.
There is also a TEMP folder stored under your user name. Another one in the Windows folder. Which also stores an additional copy of the INDEX.DAT file! Which at this location you can manually delete.
In short while you can drill down and attempt to hand delete, there is no way to completely ferret out your "cookies" and "history" w/o using some sort of system cleaner like I mentioned above. Neither Windows XP, VISTA nor Windows7 provides the tools to do this.
Some of you folks may think I'm over the top, but there's another advantage.
By doing all this you can eliminate about 10,000+ files. This cuts down on disk storage. It also reduces the number of files the disk must search through on it's master file table (MFT) when you start a program or open a file. It also helps with disk fragmentation.
All of which when combined slows down your computer's performance.
Here's how. Through questionable forfeiture laws. When they do it's up to the accused to prove they didn't commit a crime. Even when they weren't charged with one. It appears the constitution and peoples right to due process no longer matters in today's world.
