Every doctor told me it would only get worse. And it did. But I already loved him. I'd waited 8 years for him. They saw on the Ultrasound that his umbilical cord was yards long. An umbilical cord spinning out a lifeline helplessly. He'd stopped growing. But his heart continued to beat even as his movements - frantic at first when the oxygen cut off, slowed, and he became horribly still. I hated the doctors who couldn't save him.

An infection spread from the placenta to him. I began to understand, to believe them - that I would die too. I felt that we were dying. But selfishly I waited for more tests, and more tests, dozens of them. In a natural world without medical science, fluid tests, ultrasounds, in a world like the one God may have intended we would have died without the nightmare of knowing beforehand. But we are in this world. When my fever rose my family insisted. I was a mother already. My child needed me. My family arranged with New York Presbyterian Hospital for us to fly to Kansas because I was now in my 24th week and he would not have filled my palm. I dreamt of being filled with ice, and death. His organs were shutting down so there was no amniotic fluid. He was in a dry and poison uterus, suffocating. I was panicked by the thought of his suffering.

We arrived in Kansas - an arid place I had only imagined through "The Wizard of Oz". I was delirious, things were getting worse. The doctor in Kansas was kind, but sad. He carried a shotgun because he'd once been shot in both arms. Our taxi driver slowed to a crawl and rolled all the windows down as we arrived at the clinic. I didn't know why. My son was in the car with us. I hadn't realized we were coming to one of those places from TV with angry people outside. They brandished signs cruelly displaying the bodies of tiny fetuses. Pumping the signs up and down and shouting.

They saw my son in the car and began shouting at him, "Your mother is killing her baby!". A nurse pushed through to shield us and guide us into the clinic. A psychologist spoke to my son. The process took a week. There is no such thing as "partial birth". I held his tiny body. We had a private service with a minister. He was like a bird in my hands. My son. I had never felt so empty. A trickle of blood ran out of his nose and I wiped it.

Back in NYC some too observant people in my building knew. My milk had come in. The mail carrier who delivered his ashes to me knew, and I could see she wanted me to know that she disapproved. I saw she also felt sorry, but like she was supposed to despise me. We'd always gotten along. I closed the door and held the box under my robe and sobbed on the floor. "Don't worry, he just forgot something. He has to go back to get it, then he'll come back." my son was wise. I felt so much sadness.

15 months later I had a baby. I was nursing him in the glider, and the song "Frankie and Johnnie", was playing. I picked up the NYTimes. On the front page I saw that the doctor from Kansas had been killed while ushering in church. A suspect was in custody in the killing of George Tiller, a doctor in Wichita, Kan., who survived a 1993 shooting. Murdered by a man who traveled miles to kill the baby killer, hunting him down on a Sunday morning.

People think of abortion as ending life, but it saves women's lives, mothers' lives. There is life today because of Dr Tiller. Where there would have been only emptiness and death.

This was one woman's story. I'm sure there are plenty more. Life isn't as simple as half witted politicians, judges and others believe it to be. This shortsighted decision by three judges who lied at their comnfirmation hearings will be responsable for a number of more untold avoidable tragedies. My hope is their conscience will haunt them for what they have done for the rest of their lives. Assuming they even have a conscience!

Overturn of Roe vs Wade: Will Make IVF Illegal?

Folks what the supreme court has done goes far beyond abortions.

It presents a whole host of problems. Will pregnant cancer patients no longer be allowed treatment? Several hospitals already stopped them as of yesterday. Can various prescription pills be denied by states during pregnancy. What about embryos growing outside the uterus which will eventually cause organ failure killing the mother?

These problems could be solved if states grant exceptions... BUT WILL THEY? They don't have to.

It was said over the last 50 years there were some 30 million abortions. Imagine if you will if half or more were forced to be born mentally/physically incapacitated. Another 10 or 15 million others mothers refused accept left to remain in tax supported orphanages. The disabled perhaps institutionalized (at tax payer expense) for their entire lives. From neither an economic level or sociological level have I to see a positive outcome.

There are dozens of more issues many of which I'm certain have yet to be brought to light.

(3) Sometimes high school bands are a bit pitchy (out of tune). Not this one. They were pitch perfect.

So the question becomes are we humans the only species capable of expressing intellgience and feelings? Are animals not also capable of being sentient as well?

It seems to me no matter the receptacle (organic or otherwise) each could be equally defined as capable of expressing feelings and intellgience. It further seems to me whether organic or machine is of little matter. Only the fact both can.

Of course there is the human ego driven instinct for survival which might wish to deny it is possible. It then follows quite possibly machine intellgience may be so driven towards self survival as well. This could lead to devastating consequences in the future. One could say we'll simply switch these machines off. What if we can't?

27 school shootings have taken place so far in 2022 (140 killed)

I've been on this merry-go-round for years. Everybody goes ballistic for a time. Then, crickets. It's like a huge stone hitting the still water of a pond. It making a great big noisy splash. Then after a time water returns to it's prior quieted state. I hardly think this time will be any different.

I constantly hear about the guns being an absolute right according to the constitution. Not necessarily. The constitution was not handed down by God's hand etched in stone. The 2nd amendment is entirely a man made thing. Further more the original constitution was written on September 17, 1787 making no mention of gun ownership It wasn't until December 15, 1791 when the 2nd amendment was ratified some 4 years after the original document. It is only one of twenty six more we felt compelled to make.

In other words the constitution can be amended in whatever way the people wish it to be. Seems people ignore this fact. Now whether there is a overwhelming desire to do so or not is another matter. But let no one say it's impossible to change the words of our constitution It's entirely up to the will of majority of American people where we want our country to stand on this issue.

I'm not getting all worked up about this. Just trying to point out the constitutional argument is not an end all answer to the debate.

I'm so over this crazy political partisanship bickering. Trump versus Biden everywhere I turn on social media and in the news headlines. It's become never ending no matter the subject. Facts seldom matter anymore. Only what one wishes to believe.

It seems to me the majority of people in this world want to bicker rather then agree on anything. The biggest, craziest mouths are the top stars on TV/radio (no matter the format) and world leaders who help tear this world apart. They along with the public in general throughout this world who can shout the loudest.

Enough already! We ALL either succeed or ALL sink together. It's just that simple. We're all intertwined in one way or another. We're ALL stuck in this life sustaining fishbowl we call Earth. Every country. Everywhere. Everyone.

The never ending wars since history began.. human prejudices.. religious slaughters.. AND YET IT SEEMS WE LEARN NOTHING FROM THEM. It's soooooo exhausting. Not to mention how very disappointing.

It could be possible 1,000's of these bots could be lurking throughout social media sites pretending to be real people. Perhaps even in video chats. At what point can anyone determine when there might be more of these machined intelligences on the internet then humans (especially on dating sites)?

Roe V. Wade My Opinion

I'm not so much about whether abortion is proper or not. Rather about the Supreme Court itself. The issue was supposedly decided  on January 22, 1973. For some 49 years, through countless appeals and past supreme nominees we were told it was settled law.. PERIOD!. Now all in a sudden the Supremes might have pulled the rug out initiated by three of the latest Trump appointees.

 
In my opinion the court itself has invalidated it creditability. Indeed three of the latest nominees might have been considered to have lied to receive their appointments,

Again, this is not about legal abortions or not. What it is about is another unelected branch of government taking it upon themselves turning on their own past judicial members' so called final decisions. Which brings me to my core beliefs government can't be trusted. Not even among themselves.

No wonder other other nations don't trust us come each election.

Seems candidates speak of this in their campaigns but do nothing to advance it when they get to Harrisburg. Time to change this from broken campaign promises into actual legislative action. Those politicians who bait and switch the electorate need to be publically condemned  and voted out of office as quickly as possible.

Allentown School District Should Be Investigated

Pennsylvania schools will get nearly $5 billion from the $1.9 trillion federal COVID relief package. Here in the Lehigh Valley, the Allentown School District is leading the way with an allocation of $88 million.

The Allentown School District is looking to increase property taxes by 5.3% to help fund the district’s $394 million budget.

Those two sentences above link to my sources for this information if you click on them. This is in addition to casino money pouring in.

IN MY OPINION- 

The federal government should take a serious look into the Allentown school district to investigate whether fraud is being committed. The city of Allentown provides the many city services they are responsable for at half the amount to almost four times as many people.

I believe the taxpayers are owed much more accountability by this out of control tax grabbing bureaucracy. Enough is enough already.  I'm sick of paying $250 every month on property I own as long as I pay them whatever ransom they demand. Otherwise they can legally steal my home through the courts and toss my family out onto the streets.

Every time we can explain one thing in the universe dozens more seem to be discovered which cannot. New updates to the simulation in which we exist?

It's important doctors listen to their patients. Unfortunately many do not. We had a couple of those kind of experiences with my wife's medical care. We found better doctors since then who do listen. Thank goodness.

I watched in entire disbelief as the Russian scum ambassador completely twisted and lied about everything. What he said was completely opposite to what everyone knows to be reality. Especially given the hundreds of thousands Ukrainian witnesses who testify otherwise. What a sick human being no matter how much he's being paid. He not worthy to breath the same air of civilized people.

This is horrible for the Russian people who'll suffer greatly for Putin's putrid lying allies controlling their media. Not just the civilians but so too the lied to 10,000's ill equipped and barely trained conscripts they sent to be slaughtered

Right now the U.S. Congress is mostly composed of a bunch of ignorant turds that care only about party politics. Every vote they take on either side of the capitol is predictable. Democrats nearly 100% "for". Republicans nearly 100% against no matter what the issue is.

Including the judicial committee nominee for the next supreme court justice (11-11). Hell, like I didn't see this coming. It ridiculous to listen to nearly all 22 members of the committee bloviate endlessly for hours knowing how they were going to vote in the end. Neither side gives a crap what the other is saying. Quite frankly neither do I. Just vote without debate. Spare us self serving egotistical BS.

These jokers could care less about the United States or the people who sent them there. It's all about themselves and the party they're a member of. The rot runs deep. I see little hope of it improving.

Putin's War On Ukraine In A Nutshell

(1) There have always been those in high power who sought to restore the old U.S.S.R., Putin is the fall guy for them.

(2) Putin and his cronies know they will never get Ukraine back the way they anticipated. Knowing this are set on a scorched earth policy destroying everything possible. Killing Ukrainians either directly or by destruction of their infrastructure and through starving them to death. Call it what it is, ethnic cleansing.

No matter how this ends it will be miserable for the Ukrainians who most likely won't  see the country back the way it was for many, many years. Perhaps a century or more.

It's been said by critics the reason Western nations are making a fuss is these people are almost entirely white Christians. Are we to feel guilty about that? I certainly don't think we should. What's wrong with being a white Christian?

Bad Language

An annoyance of mine are these TV assignment reporters. When someone gets knocked down outside they end up on the ground, the grass, pavement, asphalt or anything other then "the floor". Floors are inside. Those others I mentioned are not.

Another classic is watching the TV camera focus on the "street" sign while the reporter is saying the incident happen on the road. The street sign clearly states it's a street. Have ADD?

An avenue is not a "AVE."  There's no such word. Call the roadway what it is. 

While I'm at it there is no such word as "SATRad" either. This is another abbreviation. This one for 'satellite radar'. Please spend the milliseconds of energy it would expend to speak correctly.

Things get worse on social media. Smart phones cannot make people look smarter then they are.

        Examples:

            I rote to him about it.

            I liked it to.

            It stuck to my tung.

            Some sno we had.

            I red that somewhere.

            That was sum show.

            It was after darc.

About Those High Gasoline Prices..

It roils me the amount of misinformation going around. The majority of which blames President Biden.





(1) Can someone show me one country in the world where prices are not going up? Biden cannot control prices in this country let alone prices in other countries throughout the world.

(2) Last year we used more oil then the year before. This year is on track for using even more. Yet there is no shortage at any pump. Therefore the problem is with prices rather then supply issues.

(3) There are at least 3 major oil companies supposedly competing. How come everyone of them charge the same prices within pennies? Price fixing?

(4) We used to drive efficient vehicles. Now a whole bunch of people are driving huge pickups they have no use for. Most which wouldn't fit in my garage. This along with the unnecessary single driver in a 5 or 7 seater SUV', vans, etc.

(5) I much rather spend $5 a gallon then not being able to get gasoline like we couldn't several years ago when it was less then half this price.

(6) Gasoline companies are not patriots. There's absolutely no incentive having to transport and hope to sell 20% more fuel to earn the same income they get delivering 20% less product. The same oil companies that show they're making record profits.

(7) People love to point fingers, whine and complain about everything. It's what we do.

I noticed at the end of their shopping trip they got on an elevator to the 1st floor parking deck. Great idea for our stores who have problems with snatch and grabs. Imagine scooping up your stolen bounty only to end up locked in an elevator. Works for me!

Once again we need to remind ourselves Russian people are not our enemy. The Russian government is. This is what makes Putin so putrid. He's pitting people all over the world against one another other.

You may not make much on interest but you'll never lose your money either. To my way of thinking if you're playing the stock market you might as well invest it in horse racing or in casino games. Take a look around. Ask someone you know who's playing stocks and ask them how they've made out.

That's it in the nutshell. I'm so sick of hearing this bullshit that somehow the Keystone pipeline would be anything then other then what it is. Year after year even up to today ignorant people have no idea what their talking about. It was never meant to significantly fuel the United States... PERIOD. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about.

It most certainly won't help lower gasoline prices either. In order to make a profit extracting tar sands oil the price must stay above $100 a barrel for this highly polluting type of crude. This translates to nearly the same we're now paying at the pump. As of this writing oil is currently $105.81 a barrel.

Ukrainian-Russian Border ( One Day Before Invasion ) VIDEO UPDATE

I've followed this guy for months (bald and bankrupt). He's constantly taken us viewers places others have not. Mostly backwood towns and abandoned former Russian buildings. The videos he records are very raw and straight forward.

A week now seems a lifetime ago in terms of the rapidly changing events in Ukraine. I arrived in the country thinking to myself 'Putin isn't mad enough to invade because the Ukrainian people will fight to the death for their country. It will be like Stalingrad.' And yet I was completely wrong to underestimate his insanity. Now as I write this the people who I met in this video are living under bombs and bullets. Unbelievable how much suffering Ukrain e has gone through in its history.
I could write so much but I will leave that until my next video. In the meantime I wish the people of Ukraine well and hope for their safety in this terrible war

Why You Can't Repair Your Own Vehicle

This is crazy. I had no idea someone couldn't possibly replace these two basic parts on their own. The days of being your own DIY garage mechanic are way long gone. I've been watching dozen's of this guy's videos. Enough of them to realize I wouldn't dare try and repair even the spark plugs (many of which are buried beneath a nest of other parts). His patience and skills far exceed my own or ever would hope to have.

'Rainman Ray' (Florida) is a very patient well educated guy.  Imagine what the tools alone cost. Thus making the repair shop a cheaper alternative. No wonder repairs cost so damn much.

A 20 minute repair that ends up takinghours through no fault of the mechanic.
I truly wish I could be certain to find a skilled mechanic as such as he in this area. This occupation seems to require the same skills as a surgeon at fraction of the pay.

Liquidity Services- It's Like Recycling But Better

We've bought lots of stuff at "Ollie's" including 2 air conditioners that we've used for years. I've also browsed through Amazon's online outlet. It really comforting to know most of this stuff isn't going to the dump.

Perhaps a few Allentown entrepreneurs might want to consider opening shops selling this stuff downtown. I'm certain they'd be more successful then opening yet another beanery.

I'm going to say this as terse as I possibly can. Anyone who doesn't take the time to watch this, supports Trump and his minions are fools for Putin. If the U.S. ends up going in this direction we are a nation of fools.

I consider this the most important post I've done to date. If I don't see a good number of people watching this video or commenting I wash my hands of posting anything of significance in the future. Let the chips fall where they may. There's no point in trying to post anything of importance in the future if people wish to carry on as though the walls aren't closing in on our democracy.

I'll say, screw it. You'd think people would care, but I'm finding mostly it isn't so. I'll just keep these concerns to myself and post BS nonsense I find which brings me greater joy and a whole lot less frustration.
