L.V. Highways A Wreck Or More Everyday

This morning one of our highways claimed yet two more lives.

06/01/2015- 2 dead in tractor-trailer crash that shut I-78 in Upper Saucon

I've noticed for several months nearly a day doesn't go by there isn't some sort of major wreck. Below are just a few of the major accidents reported by "The Express-Times". Imagine how many more are minor accidents not reported on. It's a jungle out there.

Almost like driving the bumper cars in an amusement park without any of the fun.

05/29/2015- Couple in Route 22 accident in Easton area almost home from Jersey Shore
05/28/2015- Tractor-trailer incident slows Interstate 78 West near Easton

05/26/2015- Bethlehem man dies after Northeast Extension rollover crash

05/20/2015- Whitehall woman injured in Route 22 crash, state police say
05/16/2015- Upper Macungie man dies after car crashes under tractor-trailer
05/15/2015- Interstate 78 accident followed center-lane breakdown
05/14/2015- Interstate 78 accident blocks eastbound lanes in Lehigh County
05/13/2015- Pregnant woman injured in Route 378 crash where car flipped
05/13/2015- Route 22 West slowed by crashes in Bethlehem Township, Pa., Palmer
05/12/2015- Hellertown man partially thrown through sunroof in crash, but is not badly hurt
05/11/2015- Car flips on Route 378 during evening rush hour in Lower Saucon Township
05/08/2015- Route 191 accident leaves one dead, three injured including two children
Anyone who checks out "511PA" twitter feeds for Allentown will be appalled at the number of reports. These don't include our local area streets.

Everyone needs to slow the hell down and leave enough distance between vehicles in front of them. All too many times people tend to rush trying to get somewhere. I think it's far better to arrive late then never at all. Driving shouldn't be a competition to see which driver gets first to a single lane from a double lane. Nor assuming the "Yield Sign" only applies to the other jerk.

If most drivers followed those four simple suggestions there would be far fewer collisions.

Driving shouldn't be a contact sport
