US Senate Democrats push ahead on $430bn drug, energy bill "Republicans have promised to do everything they can to stall or block the bill, with Senator Lindsey Graham on Friday calling the legislation, “this jihad they’re on to tax and spend.” But Democrats are betting that they can ram it through the Senate, using an arcane and complicated “reconciliation” procedure allowing passage without any Republican support in a 50-50 split Senate.

An arduous process that could extend into early next week and will see senators offer amendment after amendment in a time-consuming “vote-a-rama.”

Is there a damn thing Republicans won't do to try and make Democrats fail no matter whatever endeavor they set about on in every turn? Vote on the damn bill and get it over with already. All this bullshit is nothing more then that.. utter bullshit. No wonder nothing gets done.

Everything they are doing changes nothing. It's an exercise that serves no other purpose then to piss Democrats off. Everything they end up doing will end up with either a passage of the bill or not. What a bunch of arsholes!
