LV Tea Party Plans Refugee Protest

Lehigh Valley Live.com (05/06/2016)
"Citing fears about terrorism, a Lehigh Valley grass-roots conservative group has announced plans to protest a church that's been renting space to a resettlement program for Syrian and other refugees... the tea party group chairman, Tom Campione, revealed a plan to try and stop the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the Lehigh Valley. Campione said he proposes weekly protests outside an Allentown church believed to be tied to the resettlement effort... he believes the vetting process for refugees to be inadequate."

Question: How Many Refugees Have Been Linked To Terrorism?-- "Since 9/11, the U.S. has admitted 784,000 refugees into the country. According to the Migration Policy Institute, during that time, exactly three refugees were found to have links to terrorism — so, approximately .00038 percent of refugees in the U.S. have had ties to terrorism. Two of these refugees were caught while trying to leave the country to join extremist groups abroad. All three are currently in prison."

I can honestly testify I don't know of any attacks what-so-ever here in the Lehigh Valley nor statewide in Pennsylvania either.

The New York Times answers the question Why Is It So Difficult for Syrian Refugees to Get Into the U.S.?"It’s extremely difficult to get into the United States as a refugee — the odds of winning the Powerball are probably better,’’ says David Miliband, head of the International Rescue Committee, which helps place refugees from 40 countries in American cities. And Syrians are subject to an extra degree of vetting.

Although all refugees are screened by the National Counterterrorism Center, the F.B.I., the Defense Department, the State Department and United States Customs and Border Protection, among other intelligence agencies, Syrians must complete what is known as the Enhanced Syrian Review. This is an added screening by caseworkers at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in Washington, which assesses each Syrian case and selects some for processing through the Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate office."

Quick Thought
These refuges aren't up in their faces. May I suggest you folks stay out of theirs.

Why create a problem where there is none?
