The 'students" renting next door had their annual end of the year blow out. As if the loud stereo, yelling and partying until about 2:00 am weren't enough of a delight I was handed the golden opportunity to sweep broken glass bottles from behind our and the neighbors' garages. Course we had no idea there was any till my daughter unknowingly drove over the broken glass on her way to work early this morning. So too after my wife pulled out of the garage later in the morning.
To be honest I'm positive none of the students next door did this themselves. They tried to be good neighbors throughout the year, but because they hosted the party their guests most certainly did. I'd wish these other students a fond farewell except knowing in a few short weeks a whole new fresh batch will soon arrive. Twenty years and counting.. nothing changes except for the faces. It's like living with teenagers who never grow up.
Please don't bother wasting my time criticizing as to why we moved here if we knew. We didn't. It became a party palace rental about five years after we bought our home and the previous owners sold the attached house next door.
So let's reset the clock and start all over again. Bring in the next bunch who'll no doubt host their own all summer late night backyard loud stereo drinking parties. Guests who will continue pissing in the backyard and carry on the decades long traditions like those who came before.
Before some idiot trolls me and says if we don't like it, move... Want to be the first to start a 'GoFundMe'?
We sure don't have this kind of loot. Even if we did, this is why Allentown has become the way it is. Because of people pulling up stakes rather then dealing with this kind of crap. Trust me, if we ever win the lottery (fat chance in hell) count us in as one of them. We'd be out of here faster then 'superman' on steroids.
