The city of Allentown is getting all cranky about UGI making bumps in the streets after they just spent money to repave them.
Wow, like this is something new
Back in the 60's when Allentown repaved Hamilton Street after removing the old trolley tracks and shutting down the city's steam heat UGI came along within months and dug up every 20 feet or so to check on their gas lines. This left bump after bump patches. Hamilton became almost like a automotive suspension torture test track for one of the automotive companies. Now one would think if a high school age person such as myself back in those days could see it coming before hand, why couldn't one of the UGI planning engineers as well.
I mean really... why is this still an issue?
Are we really still that stupid?
I guess so, apparently !
