Football More Important Then Area Businesses?

someecards.com - Let's celebrate the NFL finally determining how to split its money between millionaires and billionaires

The San Francisco 49ers seem to think so.

According to Chris Morran's report at 'consumerist.com' the "49ers Ask Neighboring Businesses To Change Work Hours So Team Can Play Monday Night Football."

"See, the new stadium doesn’t have enough parking capacity for the nearly 70,000 fans who will show up to games. For Sunday games, the team has been able to wrangle enough parking spots from neighboring businesses to meet the parking needs, but if they score a Monday Night Football game, there’s a big problem... "
According to 'Wikipedia' The nearly $1 billion 68,500 seat Levi's Stadium under construction should be ready by the 2014 season. It's located further then any other NFL stadium from it's home city (35 miles).

Think of it this way. If this was located in this area, who would have thought if I started a business 5 miles West of Hamburg I would be affected by a NFL stadium built representing Allentown?

Yeah sure I'd shut down my restaurant or retail store by 5:30pm on what could be the biggest night of the year to accommodate these multimillionaires.

Football... It's only a game. Right?
