Interesting Consumer Items In The News
The Consumerist.com came up with recent shopping information.
The first involved someone who came into a store after seeing something online for $20 less then they would sell it to him in-store.
After the store refused to adjust his price, he used his smart phone to buy the item online right in front of the sales clerk. Then checked off the box to pick it up in-store. At that point all he had to do was walk the item he already was holding over to the in-store pickup area where he got it for $20 less.
Would you pay parking meters so you can park at a shopping mall?
Apparently this mall also issues parking tickets as well.

The former will give way as more and more people use mobile devices.
ReplyDeleteThe latter story is an example of government over-reach. Why shouldn't a private company that owns the private streets (as the story indicates) around its property charge for parking *if they choose* to do so? I would think twice about paying to park at a mall, and would shop elsewhere, but the property owners ought to be free to do it if they think it is worth it.
