Top White House Official in Charge of Pandemic Response Exits Abruptly
"(May 11, 2018) The top White House official responsible for leading the U.S. response in the event of a deadly pandemic has left the administration, and the global health security team he oversaw has been disbanded under a reorganization by national security adviser John Bolton.

The abrupt departure of Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer from the National Security Council means no senior administration official is now focused solely on global health security. Ziemer’s departure, along with the breakup of his team, comes at a time when many experts say the country is already underprepared for the increasing risks of a pandemic or bioterrorism attack.

Ziemer’s last day was Tuesday, the same day a new Ebola outbreak was declared in Congo. He is not being replaced.

Pandemic preparedness and global health security are issues that require government-wide responses, experts say, as well as the leadership of a high-ranking official within the White House who is assigned only this role."

Then you wonder why Trump hates the press? It's their job not only to report but so too preserve documentation of their reporting.

U.S. axed CDC expert job in China months before virus outbreak
"Several months before the coronavirus pandemic began, the Trump administration eliminated a key American public health position in Beijing intended to help detect disease outbreaks in China, Reuters has learned.

The American disease expert, a medical epidemiologist embedded in China’s disease control agency, left her post in July, according to four sources with knowledge of the issue. The first cases of the new coronavirus may have emerged as early as November..."

No one's saying Trump could have stopped this disease in it's tracks. On the other hand we had to have an expert team with plans in place. This did not happen. That's a fact Jack.

Trump's other accusation is outgoing president Obama did nothing about stocking up medical supplies after the CDC recommended them in 2016. The answer to anyone should be more then obvious. Congress never passed a budget to pay for them during Obama's waning months in office. Trump has been in office for over three years... what's his excuse?

  1. Ah, because this administration was tied into knots by one political investigation after another? Or, maybe, because all funding Bills originate in the House of Representatives, run by too many self-serving politicians? How about a nationwide court system becoming too politicized in its rulings?

    2. See my next post above. Because this idiot failed to act the rest of the country is getting scammed by medical suppliers. He could have used his war powers act to buy supplies. Instead left it up to states who are getting hosed big time. He didn't need congress to do that!

Quit making excuses. He doesn't need help.He does just fine on his own.
