Since Biden and Trump are both apparent heirs to their respective parties I see little need to rush the dates for the remaining primaries. Therefore there's little need to hold either party's huge and expensive conventions in person either.

Here's another concern of mine.
Should either Trump or Biden become sick and forced to drop out we could end up electing a candidate by default since one party or the other had no candidate running in opposition. Either that or the electoral representatives could end up picking the next president.

Perhaps we could postpon the election until a later date. Which raises the question who would then hold office of the presidency until such an election occurred? Whoever is speaker of the house? Yeah that'd make for some pretty nasty fireworks. Talk about a divided country.

This horrible scenario occurred to me because neither candidate is young. Both are quite old and susceptible to Covid 19. It's something to think about. So let's hope things don't go this way. It would be a nightmare like we've never experienced.
