Hershey Replacing HFCS In Some Products

"While some products from Hershey already feature only sugar as a sweetener, like the original Hershey’s chocolate bar, the company says that as more customers are shying away from high-fructose corn syrup, Hershey is considering moving toward sugar for more products in the future."
My Comments About The Article Above
Gee could it also be sugar is now at it's lowest price in 5 years?

As of this writing Sugar is trading at $.167 cents a pound erstwhile according to the USDA in October dry high fructose corn syrup on the wholesale market was going for $.2993 cents to $.3279 cents a pound depending on the type (either #42 or #55).

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good thing to get rid of HFCS, but let's not pretend a big part of the decision wasn't based on ingredient costs. If one ingredient cost almost half of the other I'm certain any company or individual would consider it foolish to do otherwise.

See this article by Mark Hyman, MD-- "Why You Should Never Eat High Fructose Corn Syrup".

In short this is good news not only for Hershey's bottom line, but for consumers as well.
