Don't Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor...

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

~ Emma Lazarus ~

Not So Much Anymore..'The Philadelphia Inquirer'-- "Chinese investors have begun signing up to spend $500,000 each to help pay for a long-awaited connection between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and I-95. In exchange, the investors hope to get permanent residency in the United States for themselves and their families."
In the midst of all the public outcry against immigration, I wonder how those who are currently opposed feel about this?

Maybe the time has come to change the plaque at the 'Statue of Liberty' to read...

"Give me your peoples whom are rich,
Your huddled stashe$ yearning to be set free.
Send me these and I will find favor in which,
I shall grant thee a place within our immigration policy.

Send a half a million or more,
And I will lift my lamp beside the golden door."
