These 3 LV Agencies Seeking Another $60M

The Morning Call--- Agencies intend to apply for $60 million to improve roads around the airport. "The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, with the support of Lehigh Valley International Airport and LANTA, intends to apply for $60 million in federal transportation funding to help improve roads in and around the airport."

Good God.. these people sure know how to spend taxpayers' money. What they're not so good at is producing a ROI (return on investment). A much better use of far less then $60 million would be to just build a intercity bus terminal onsite already. Lord knows more people take the buses in and out of the Lehigh Valley then they do planes.

Between all the ways the planning commission, LVIA and LANTA come up with ideas for spending money never ceases to amaze me. Here's the questions I ask myself. Are more people using LANTA? Are more people flying in and out of LVIA? How will better roads around the airport change any of that?

I don't think I being unreasonable to question why we should invest another $60 million dollars for transportation less people use now then they used to. It's like adding more bleachers to a sports stadium thinking somehow by adding more seats it will cause more to show up for the games.

It's always worked well in the past when the horse was hitched up in front of the wagon.

Yeah I'm kinda' old fashioned like that.
