It's the last one of 50 old mechanical $1 progressive machines who's payout has now reached $2.3 million. Of course it's the most popular machine at the MGM Grand.
Under gaming laws in Nevada it can't be taken out of service till it pays out.
20 years may seem like a long time but when you consider how long I've been playing the lotteries here in Pennsylvania and haven't won anything over 20 bucks... it's no big deal :-)
