Lot's Of News To Talk About

Member Of The U.S. House Taking A Risk?
By now most of us have heard about Rep. Michael Grimm threatening to throw NY1 reporter Michael Scotto off the US Capitol balcony. He might want to reconsider when he makes a threat to someone who that someone is. It turns out Michael Scotto is the nephew of the accused New York Gambino family crime boss Anthony Scotto. Rep. Grimm wasn't doing himself a favor, but he might want to consider one for at least one other person I can think of :-)

Mainstream Members Of The GOP Are In For The Fight Of Their Life
Sometimes you got to be careful what you wish for. You just might get it. Yeah it seemed like a great idea at the time to cozy up with the so-called 'Tea Party' (which doesn't have it's own party) to win back the house. What happens however when those to the extreme right threaten traditional Republicans who are more moderate?

The New York Times is reporting, "Fund-Raising by G.O.P. Rebels Outpaces Party Establishment". It may be too late for Republicans to take back the invitations after the guests have already joined the party. What happens when guests refuse to leave? Has the 'Tea Party' become the GOP's Trojan Horse?

Justin Bieber Is Picking Tomatoes
'Page Six' at the New York Post reports the 19 year old had his security guard point a flashlight at some babe he picked out of the crowd who he left with him at a NYC club at 3:30am. The kid sees more ass then a toilet seat. Who said romance was dead?

'Leave It To Bieber':
All work, no play versus all play, no work--
According to Justin Bieber Zone.com the last time he performed sang was August 10, 2013. So apparently he hasn't worked in over six months. See kids, this is what can happen for you too when you work hard and save your money. Babes really like this kind of stuff.

Throwing Gov. Chris Christie Under The Bridge
     Whoa not so fast!
The attorney for David Wildstein (the former Port Authority official) said, "evidence exists " that Christie had knowledge of the lane closures. Keeping in mind Mr. Wildstein is trying to get himself off the hook by cutting a deal, let's break down lawyer talk.

(1) "evidence exists"-- Do you have that evidence? If so, why didn't you backup your accusation by releasing it? It's one thing to claim there exists something and quite another to have it in your possession.

(2) The lawyer did not specifically state that his client was accusing Christie of ordering the closing. Only that the evidence exists that accuses the Gov. of only two things. One that he was aware of the closure (which he never denied). The other that "the Christie administration" ordered the GWB lanes be shut down.

It doesn't matter whether one supports the NJ governor or not. All we have so far is the former bridge executive's lawyer speaking very carefully chosen words without evidence to back them up. I truly hope anyone who's already tried and hung Christie, based on what we know so far, is never on my jury if I ever should need one. Anyone who can't see past lawyer speak on this one really needs to sharpen their perception skills.

Maybe Windows8 Won't Suck After All
I already expressed my disdain a number of times. Speaking as a person who does most of his work on a PC, if I want my desktop cluttered up with icons across several screens I can do that myself in Windows7. In the first version of Windows8 people complained there was no start button. So Microsoft came out with Windows 8.1 and added the start button. Apparently people are still complaining that Windows8 should boot up into the start screen first rather then the numerous icon multi screen array.

Good news!
"Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans have revealed to that the upcoming update for Windows 8.1 will enable this by default."

It was and is still my opinion that desktop PC's should remain Windows7. Touch screen and mobile personal use applications will benefit using the Windows8 O/S. I see little practically or the day coming that business offices will want every program to come up on every work station's users screen.

What I have done is create several folders and put my various program shortcuts in them to avoid cluttering up the screen. In this way I avoid having to search through a huge number of programs to get where I want to go in the start menu. In Windows8 if you want to find anything you have pull up the search engine. Both a waste of effort and time.

If Windows8 evolves into this new boot up method, I actually may one day favor it.

Obama's Marriage In Trouble?
Several of the rags including 'The Daily Mail' and the 'National Enquirer' have been reporting for weeks Michelle Obama is not a happy camper. Several White House insiders say the couple has been made aware of the rumors.

In my mind I'm wondering a couple of things. At what point will these rumors become too loud to ignore? If they continue to grow louder there's only two ways I can see this going. Either Michelle remains silent. Or, since she's the only one who can end them, addresses them publicly. Three more years is a awfully long time to ignore something if this continues to fester either within her or the scandal rags. I've paid close attention and so far I haven't a clue whether this is BS or not. In the meantime now that you're aware you too can play along at home.

Here are a few more headlines from the past that might be of interest...
