Some of the equipment consist of 2,000 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAP's) initially costing $1million apiece. About 11 million pounds of other equipment was already shredded into scrap metal and has been sold to Afghan contractors for a few pennies a pound.
