Military Spending Out Of Control

For many this is old news we've known about since June 2013. This post is for others who aren't aware that the military is leaving $7 billion worth of equipment behind in Afghanistan.

Some of the equipment consist of 2,000 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAP's) initially costing $1million apiece. About 11 million pounds of other equipment was already shredded into scrap metal and has been sold to Afghan contractors for a few pennies a pound.

The reason I brought this up is Bill from Nebraska reminded me of this once again with a vBlog he posted on Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 regarding government waste. Rather then me rattling on incessantly, Bill puts things in a better perspective then I could..

Bill also has a vBlog on how to get free housing w/o government's help
