Where Did JFK Stand On Healthcare?

Over the last few days I've refrained from posting about JFK since everybody's been posting Wall-To-Wall ad nauseam. But I feel compelled to present another aspect that's not been brought up anywhere else. His position regarding government mandated healthcare.

Although this address was specific to 'Medicare' I would think it's safe to assume JFK would be highly in favor of nationalizing healthcare. It's plain to see, this issue over healthcare has been playing out for a long time.

A Short Clip

The Entire 1/2 Hour Speech

Would those same people now calling Barack Obama a socialist consider JFK one too?
They sure didn't back then.

Course back then there was no 'Tea Party' or 'FOX News' unceasingly pounding away questioning JFK's motives and integrity day and night.

  1. There are two remaining candidates for the Democratic Nomination for President, and I believe that of the two, Bernie Sanders best represents the ideals of President Kennedy.
