The Road Kill Experiment


I found the video of interest because more then once when we drove along Ocean Drive in New Jersey we've seen this happen to turtles. This despite the many signs posted alongside the highway. In fact the ones I witnessed would actually veer onto the shoulder so they could crush a turtle.

Ocean Drive is a very important migration route for the "Green Atlantic Turtle" (May-September).

Oddly enough when it did happen in front of my van a couple of times SUV's were involved.

I wonder why that is?File this under "What The Hell's The Matter With People?"
