My Allentown Fair Suggestions For 2013

Since the Allentown Fair will be opening on Tuesday, August 27th.. And given that the city Allentown is in a financial drought, I thought I'd make a few suggestions.

Seeing as everyone seems so irate at the city, why can't we make a few bucks off of it?

The city should contact the fairgrounds (it's not too late). Secure a 500 gallon dunking tank. (Action Rental over on Union Blvd. has one)

It would be a great way to raise some much needed revenue for the city's budget.

Picture how many would line up for 'dunk the mayor' night!

On another night, dunk a councilor.

On a different night, dunk the recreation director.

Here's yet another surefire money maker...
I'm positive half the city employees and almost all the union members would line up for dunk a (pain in the ass) blogger.

Hey I haven't forgotten you folks down at the newspaper either!

That would pretty much fill up the entire fair's run and make a decent amount of money for Allentown's coffers.

Other ideas I have floating in my head:
For the local business owners, the "Raffle Drum" stand. Call it the "Community KOZ Can" or "Hit or NIZ" game of chance. Sorry invited players only. Only propsective players that come with at least one government official's recomendation can play this game.

"Bingo". Winners get a chance to cut the ribbon at the next restaurant opening, shake hands with city officials, a 10% off meal coupon and a free bus ride home.

"Mud Wrestling". $10 gets you in to see local bloggers and city leaders tussle it out. $15 if you don't want to see them tussle in their skivvies.

The "wheel of fortune" game (Allentown style). You put $1 down on a number and if you win, you get 50 cents back.
