It's been a busy 24 hours concerning celebrities and TV. Here's a quick look what is making the headlines today.

The National Enquirer reports, the Queen of England (and future great grandma) had a hissy fit when she heard that Kate & Prince William wanted to name their child Diana if it's a girl. Now they are reporting the queen is dragging her own 86 year old nursery furniture out of moth balls for Kate to use in her baby's nursery room.

Whether of royalty or a commoner relatives are either people you inherit or marry into. The baggage they bring doesn't seem to be all that different does it?


While many were glued to their TV last night to watch the 'State Of The Union' speech Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia wasn't one of them. Rather he said, "It has turned into a childish spectacle. I don't want to be there to lend dignity to it".

Speaking of the 'State Of the Union'... a bunch of people are bent out of shape that GOP Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas invited Ted Nugent. Not House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) though. She said, "I am more concerned about Steve Stockman being here than Ted Nugent. Ted Nugent will leave. Steve Stockman will still be here." :-)


News comes today that Comcast is buying the rest of NBCUniversal from General Electric. That seems like a lot of gravy for this turkey. NBC hit "its three lowest viewership levels for a traditional television season in the past four weeks... Thirty-three other broadcast programs had bigger audiences than NBC's most-watched show last week.". According to the 'Nelsen Ratings' of the top 10 primetime shows for the last week in January not one of them were on NBC. Eight of the ten that aired on that week were on CBS. The remaining two were aired on FOX.


Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs has become a contributor for MSNBC.


Fan's of PBS's 'Downton Abbey' located in Yorkshire, England might be interested to learn that Movoto Real Estate estimates that the joint (Highclere Castle) is worth about $400 million. While we only see a dozen or so of the staff of TV, the real life staff numbers between 60 to 80 people. Hey there's lots of windows to clean and toilets to scrub.
