A Tale Of The Human Spirit

Reposted From: June 8, 2011

In this world of divisive politics, economic envy and all the rest, we sometimes forget the most important thing in life. The commonality between us all...the longing of the human spirit.

And how trivial most of our problems really are in the larger scheme of things.

"If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."
~John Stuart Mill~

"The human spirit is never finished when it is defeated...
it is finished when it surrenders.”

~Ben Stein~
(American Actor, Lawyer and Writer, b.1944)

Let us receive the forgotten ones who wish to be recognized, if only in the least, as another human being such as we ourselves. No matter where on the planet they live.

"I am certain that after the dust of centuries has passed over our cities, we, too, will be remembered not for victories or defeats in battle or in politics, but for our contribution to the human spirit."
John F. Kennedy~
(1917-1963, Americas 35th President)
