Genetically Engineered Salmon

Beneath the Gills of the Genetically Engineered Salmon
"The company's GE salmon is the result of 20 years of tinkering"

Apparently it's not enough that already chemical color is added to farmed salmon nor that "the farms release toxins, diseases, and parasites into the surrounding water... the Atlantic Salmon is now an invasive species that competes with the natural, endangered species"

"Disease and parasites, which would normally exist in relatively low levels in fish scattered around the oceans can run rampant in densely packed oceanic feedlots. To survive, farmed fish are vaccinated as small fry. Later, they are given antibiotics or pesticides to ward off infection."
