Let's Play Jackass..

..with American workers and those who need Social Security who have been told they need to "share the pain" in these tough times..

AMERICAN TAXPAYERS MONEY AT WORK
According to the Kabul Press the U.N. Ambassador for Afghanistan stays in a NYC Trump Tower Apartment that cost $4.2 million. Throw in another $7,000 monthly utility and condo fees and your good to go.

As if that's not bad enough let's really get crazy. Add in another 8 diplomats who's rents average around $20,000 a month and you start to wonder where they are getting all that loot?

One guess.. could it be The U.S. us?

Hey we may be running out of money for unemployment, Medicare or social security, but when it comes to $3.5 trillion since 2001 to piss away fighting some mysterious terrorist on four fronts (Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan) it's money well spent, right?

Here's another tidbit from the Kabul Press-- " According to the Carnegie Endowment’s September 2010, policy brief, less than three million of Pakistan’s 175 million citizens pay any income taxes...

Pakistani diplomats out maneuvered their American counterparts and were rewarded with another $5.5 billion in U.S. tax funds [in 2010]. Pakistan did not have to raise taxes or require that 98.3% of its population pay any taxes. As a result the Pakistani rich got richer."

I guess their not sharing the pain either, eh?

From The WSJ-- "More than $3 billion in cash has been openly flown out of Kabul International Airport in the past three years, a sum so large that U.S. investigators believe top Afghan officials and their associates are sending billions of diverted U.S. aid and logistics dollars and drug money to financial safe havens abroad... Mr. Karzai declared his net worth was $12,157,491 with assets of $21,163,347."

The Scotsman-- "5 billion pounds earmarked for rebuilding Afghanistan have been wasted on overpaid consultants and corporate profits, a damning report claims... Five American companies are named as having scooped the lion's share of their country's cash – with huge sums eaten up by an opaque web of sub-contractors."

Infowars Ireland-- " A US government audit has found that billions of dollars earmarked for reconstruction projects in Afghanistan cannot be tracked.

The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has announced that nearly 18 billion dollars received by thousands of firms to rebuild Afghanistan remain unaccounted for.
"

Guess they're not sharing the pain either!

I could go on and on, here's another from CBS News-- "U.N.'s Afghan Election Money Missing... The United Nations cannot account for tens of millions of dollars provided to the troubled Afghan election commission... Total election costs are now estimated at greater than $300 million, with the U.S. providing a third to half the total funding."

Still not crazy enough? The Pakistan Daily reports-- "At least 72,400 U.S. supplied AK-47s, hundreds of heavy machine guns and RPG launchers delivered to Afghan police have gone missing."

THEN THERE'S THIS..Now we just found out yesterday the Federal Reserve had made loans available for over $3 trillion to the financial industry. Some with an interest rate for as little as .0077%.

Sorry granny.. Didn't you hear? We're asking those now on Medicare and those with Social Security to help share in the pain

Sorry Joe worker.. no money to help with your unemployment either.
GET A JOB!

So just between the wars and bank loans this government had money to toy with $6.5 trillion.

By The Way - New data shows foreign banks biggest recipients of Fed money-- "More than $290 billion worth of mortgage securities were sold to Deutsche Bank, a German lender. Credit Suisse, a Swiss bank, got more than $287 billion in mortgage bonds."

Throw in the request in 2011 by the DOD you come up with a total of between $1.060 trillion and 1.449 Trillion dollar$ more that will be spent next year.

Part of the DOD's request is $54.7B for Homeland Security and NASA's satellites of between 3.4B and 8.5B dollar$.

Hey, I'm beginning to see why we don't have the money for grandma and grandpa's medical care !

I find it interesting that pundits from both sides of the aisle (joined at the hip) have managed to spin what once were considered "safety nets" into something else entirely which they relabeled as the ugly sounding "entitlement programs."

By creating revisionist terms like that of "entitlements" it now sounds like something else entirely which implies fellow Americans are laggards dragging the country down into economic ruin with these programs.

Let me see if I get this right? Bottom line is this, tax reductions for the wealthy and corporations. Tax increases and reductions on Americans who rely on social safety nets.

Sorry Obama this sure as hell wasn't the change I had in mind nor the other 63+ million American who voted for you. You can try and blame Republicans, but when it's all said and done.. all of the above occurred during your reign.

Things that you could have issued Presidential orders to investigate. Still can.. but ain't gonna!

Obama's worse sin.. he's going along to get along. People who "go along to get along" don't have principles. At least not the principles he once promised in 2008.

Seems to me this whole "sharing the pain" thing is like getting a colonoscopy w/o the benefit of meds.
