Trump Won't Shut Up About Football

Ye gads it's Monday and the divider and chief is still tweeting up a storm. You'd think he'd have larger things to concern himself with. Apparently not.

If you can't bedazzle them with brilliance--Baffle em' with bullshit
First I want to address Donald's advice to the NFL to "fire the son-of-bitches". Besides his hateful misinformed statement--it's really rotten advice. It's coming from a guy who failed miserably when he got involved in the sport. "Esquire" reposted this January 2016 piece entitled, How Donald Trump Destroyed A Football League-- An oral history of the rise and fall of the USFL. We know this guy has a hard time letting go. Could he still be holding a grudge?


Patriotism
It isn't just about saluting the military or belting out the anthem for two minutes. It's about getting involved. Putting your money where your mouth is. Money talks--bullshit walks.

Fact Check
Up until 2009 teams didn't come out onto the field till after the anthem ceremonies. I would suggest we go back to doing this. Not because of players acting up but rather as a better form of protocol. Players can be a distraction from what the audience should be primarily focused on.


Trump's A Master At Mischaracterizing
He's trying to equate players patriotism with disrespecting the military and flag No decent American who cares should ever remain silent when they feel injustice is being served. To be unquestionably 100% behind every thing a government does is asking for trouble. Since Donald Trump has been elected anyone who won't fall in line with his views are labeled un-American.

Let me explain what I consider un-American
A president who constantly attacks and insults congress members, previous presidents, calling for jailing of his opponents. Someone willing to renege on agreements, insults our allies, lies to and about the press. Oh why go on.

None of these players have criticized this country more then this president. They may have been very outspoken--but none of them could do more damage to this country then this constant barrage of words and actions coming from the office of the president. Hell they're only football players. It's not like they can impose their will on anyone. The president can.

Bottom Line Is..
Who cares what happens two minutes before a football game. It isn't going to start a war OR personally change an individual's life circumstance.. Big deal--GET OVER IT ALREADY !!
