FOX News is reporting, "President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama dined Thursday night for nearly three hours at Vintage Cave, an exclusive restaurant that charges up to $500,000 for membership."
This was confirmed by both ABC News as well as 'The Weekly Standard who reported "The restaurant's prix fixe menu is reportedly $295, with a 13-15 course meal. One local magazine estimates "total bill for two, with wine, will approach $1,000."

Although I suspect this was gratis to the Obama's, it doesn't look good. There's no acceptable reason why a sitting President should allow himself to presented in this way to not only folks back home but to the rest of the world.
I could see why the restaurant might want to forgo the check in order to have bragging rights the President ate here. What I cannot accept is Barack, by any stretch of the imagination not understanding how this looks or why critics wouldn't have a field day. There's no way on Earth he's that naive.
By doing so it appears he's arrogantly thumbing his nose at the 99%. Sorry Barack, but whatever blowback you get from this you surely must realize you have it coming. I am left to wonder if he now has fallen under the spell of Washington as so many have before him given enough exposure to it.
All of this makes we wonder if we peons can ever vote to send anyone down there who will not succumb. As much as I'd like to excuse this as a faux pas I can not. Not this time!
