T-Mobile's Guerilla Marketing

Reposted From November 10, 2010

Call it "Guerilla Marketing", call it "Viral Marketing".. call it what you will, but T-Mobile flash mobs are a huge hit all over Europe. Can't say their ad agency doesn't think outside the box, that for sure! Brilliant simply brilliant!

The company pulls these huge entertainment stunts in some unexpected public place, then airs them on European TV all at the same time on one night. It sure beats the hell out of our boring annoying TV ads here in America.

T-Mobile's flash mob viral marketing stunt is an instrument-free, a cappella concert greeting fliers arriving at London's busy Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport.

Finally America's getting into the act! Where have we been? We used to be the trend setter. Better late then never I suppose.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 12:00 PM- The Opera Company of Philadelphia
brought together over 650 choristers from 28 participating organizations
to perform at Macy's Philadelphia (The Wanamakers Building) to sing
along side the world's largest pipe organ.

Read lots more about the "Random Acts Of Culture" organization.

The Wanamaker Pipe Organ has an amazing history in itself. Please visit the "Friends Of The Wanamaker Pipe Organ" Website. You will be amazed with this wonder right in our own backyard. * This 6 keyboard organ has 28,500 pipes

* It weighs 287 tons

* The builder went bankrupt building it.

* It took 13 freight cars to deliver it.
"On Saturday November 27 following the 2 P.M. Light Show Peter Richard Conte will present the annual Christmas in the Grand Tradition concert with Philadelphia Brass. The hour-and-a half presentation will include an additional showing of the Light Show at 3 P.M. as an intermission feature."

While your there, visit Macy’s Dickens Village – A Life-Size Recreation of Victorian London, Where You Can Walk Through it.

BTW: If you take a run down to Philadelphia to visit this, drop by the Comcast Center. They have a marvelous 15 minute show which runs at the top of every hour. It runs Nov. 25th until Jan. 2.

The original one in 2008 (2010's will be all new and in 3D)
