SEDITION!

A serious discussion and..
one not so serious

Here's my serious discussion.
Some have called for leaving all this stuff behind. We shouldn't do that. We are capable of doing many things at the same time while still moving forward.

(1) Rumors are the DOD (headed by a temporary Trump appointee) denied law enforcement requests for equipment to contain the situation. Another argues law enforcement didn't request them. Since we don't know which is true we need a complete thorough investigation Were certain individuals complicit or not?

(2) In my opinion more then a few members of congress violated their oath of office in-so-much as they ginned up what they knew to be unprovable accusations in a court of law. There's ample evidence they only went after states who held electoral votes for Biden. Not a single one questioned states where Trump won. If elections were a hoax in those states so too would not their own victory be fraud as well? In-So-much as they appeared to violate their oath of office they should either resign, be removed or at the very least censured for the record.

(3) I understand Nixon was pardoned by the incoming president "for the good of the nation". This should not be the case this time. Nixon did the honorable thing and resigned for doing far less damage to the democracy. What would do well by this country is to expose to the world the United States is not the kind of democracy that tolerates criminal behavior. I'm not asking Biden to go after these people. Rather not interfere by leaving this kind of behavior (by the many involved) off the hook. Trump has already done that far too many times. Hence why some think they can do just about anything without paying a price. The world is astonished by what has just happened. They begin to question why we sanction their governments while allowing much of the same go on here without consequence. We need to send a clear renewed message we don't tolerate corruption in any country. Including our own.

(4) There are those guilty is the news media of perpetuating provable falsehoods. They must be dealt with. Not by government action but rather left up to a tidal wave of civil litigations in court. Such as being filed by dominion voting systems against Sidney Powell for $1.3 billion for defamation. When such happens every person in the media will double check and check their facts again before allowing every screwball with a half backed idea spew whatever they want without fear of repercussion

Some may say this would give rise to news media being sued every time they turn around. However keep in mind, there are such things as countersuits allowed against accusers if it turns out they be frivolous. One would think this would eventually serve as a check and balance settling down in of itself without need for government to get involved.

As far as internet sites are concerned. I wouldn't want them to be sued every two minutes for what their users say. Rather I would favor strict government regulations that require providers to be able to positively identify each who use them. Be legally required to provide information to court orders and police strictly for legal matters pertaining to those two only.

(5) It's a damn shame but it true. We can never again leave our government buildings open to attack. Nor leave our government officials, judges, their families and neighbors live in fear where they reside. We must come up with better alternatives. Locating to a private property development might be one solution. Another might include stricter local ordinances enforcing loitering or disturbing peace and tranquility. Each having more serious consequences for those who wish to harass then they do now.

FINAL THOUGHTS
There are many who think themselves patriots. True patriots respect not only the law but the spirit of the law. No where in the constitution was it intended a self appointed minority was to overpower the will of the majority of other Americans. There are over 300 million other people who go about their daily lives to whom these self appointed radical losers have become a threat.

If these people we saw the other day are sincere in changing this country, get elected. Volunteer to hold  public meetings to discuss things. This is how we do things in the country.
