Shortly Biden will be inaugurated on the capital steps as has been done under far more dangerous circumstances. Some have suggested Biden should do his somewhere else where their would be less conflict. Once there was a time near to end of the civil war when Abraham Lincoln took to address the nation for his second term. If Republicans wish hold claim to Lincoln so should they now by reining in their some of their most extremist members who wish to seed further discontent.
A true Republican should heed the words Lincoln spoke that day and remain ever grounded in them. Let not the party of conservatives be given over to those who use it for their selfish corrupt deeds. I urge true conservatives to take back their party from the hands of those who have been exploiting it. There are some who must be weeded out if Republicans ever hope to become the party it was until several years ago.
Many of Lincoln's words on that day would have the same appropriateness as if they were spoken from the capitol steps a few days from now.
