A Humvee can cost upwards to $220,000. Should 14 soldier's bonuses for service be worth less then just one of these 281,000 vehicles built for service? If you subtracted their bonuses we could still pay for over 260,928 Humvees. Hardly a drop in the bucket considering in 2010 we spent over $165 billion in Afghanistan & Iraq. $20 billion on air conditioning alone,
These so called overpayments in question represented only a fraction of what we wasted. Seems to me we're sticking it to the very people we should be most grateful towards.
