Syrian Refugees Yesterday's Jews

I cannot help but draw a parallel to the human suffering Jews once endured with those of the many innocent peaceful Syrians who want no part of this horrific war taking place in their homeland. Innocents unwelcomed in almost every part of the world in which they seek refuge.

No one, not Jews, Syrians nor anyone else should have to endure this kind of suffering. It saddens me that we've learned so little from the past.

  1. although syria, and almost all syrians, are devote enemies of israel, the chief rabbi of israel recently spoke of the human tragedy occurring there, even using the word holocaust.
