Drones A Pain The Ass

Father who shot down drone hovering over his house as his daughters sunbathed is arrested and charged-- " shot down the $1,800 drone after being alerted by his two daughters Another neighbor has told how it was hovering over her 16-year-old daughter too "

2 Planes Report Drone Flying Near JFK Airport-- "About a mile back there was a drone flying," the Delta pilot says in an air traffic control radio recording. "About 100 feet below us, just off our right wing."

Abuse It, Lose It
I'm of the opinion since there are so many assholes who now own these things they should now be licensed and sold to individuals forced to register them. The drones should be required to have SIM cards which identify the owners. Without the SIM cards they'd otherwise be unable to fly. It's a matter of both public safety and privacy.

Art Imitates Life
Here's a scene from one of my favorite shows of yesteryear 'Harry's Law': Search and Seize 03/25/2012 Episode 2.15 starring Kathy Bates--- "Harry shoots down a strange object from the sky after her next door neighbor, Margaret Albertson, alerts her to it. The object turns out to be a drone, which police are using to spy on Margaret, whom the police suspect to be a sex offender. Although cleared, she loses her third grade teaching job and seeks out Harry's help."

Is It A UFO or What!

It doesn't matter whether it's police, military or amateurs clowning around these things need to be regulated. It's a matter of privacy and safety for all concerned.

Drones Have Become A Pain The Ass All The Way Around!
