ALERT: Google Reader Pulls The Plug Tonight (07/01/2013)

I'm aware a number of my readers are using the 'Google Reader'.

After today (Monday, July 1, 2013) it will no longer exist !

My best suggestion is, readers should check out the 2nd button down on my sidebar and subscribe via email. Trust me, I do not use your email address to send email or solicited my subscribers. Never have. Never will.

There are currently two other RSS feed reader options on that button as well.


I recommend that as your best option because, unlike some RSS readers utilizing 'cookies', I do not track your activities nor am I capable of doing so.

If you currently are a user of the 'Google Reader 'CBS News recommends,
"Before you do anything else today, you should get a copy of your Google Reader subscriptions from 'Google Takeout'.

Tomorrow is too late, you should get this today.
To do that, just visit the page, click Create Archive, and then click Download when the archive is complete. Save the file somewhere on your PC and extract the file called subscriptions.xml -- this is what your Google Reader alternative will want to pick up where you left off.In addition they have a couple of links to alternative RSS readers.

Huffington Post also has 9 alternative RSS readers you might want to consider.

No matter which method you prefer, it is my hope that you will continue to subscribe to this blog one way or the other...
