On this issue Trump isn't wrong...
Where Trump and I disagree is tariffs aren't a solution. Any trade agreement should include minimum wage and benefit requirements for workers on both sides. This plus import caps. As far as I'm concerned any U.S. company that wants to do business in a third world country should be required to pay foreign workers near the same wages as they would here. Failure to do so would incur non deductible tax penalties.
I'd also require foreign manufactures to meet these same requirements for goods they wish to export to the United States. If these countries fail to match U.S. wages in-kind tariffs would be imposed to offset the difference.
Yes I voted for Ross Perot. It's a shame American voters blew it when they had the chance. He could have straightened out our budget too. Unfortunately the powers that be made him out to be a boring screwball [a hand grenade with a bad haircut]. Yeah well... look where we are now some 27 years later. Almost everything he said has been proven right. Talk about learning the hard way!
BTW: When I checked nearly everyone of my YouTube videos the average viewer quit less then 2 minutes into them. Did anyone actually watch the last video in it's entirety? I DOUBT IT!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder things are the way they are when people's attention spans are less then 2 minutes. PATHETIC!
Perot accomplished His mission. He hated Pappy Bush so badly We got 'Slick Willy' and Hillary . I am not going to address working conditions in foreign countries
