Both Sides Of United States Political Parties

One side is constantly whining how they are be mistreated on the internet and in the media. This same side complains about the homeless in big city streets (without offering solutions). It engages in derogatory name calling for people they disagree with. Attempts to force into submission financially bankrupting other nations whom we have differences. Change the terms of our long standing agreements on a whim nearly without notice creating instability. Ignoring and imposing their will on nearly half of the others who so too live in this country whom they blame stand in their way if they dare speak.

On the other side. A group of progressives who overstate the governments ability to solve all the world and peoples' problems. One which is too willing to try and appease those who would take advantage of their good intentions. A tendency to over regulate as opposed to the other side which under regulates. A group who relies too much on the goodness of people in other countries over the threat their governments pose.

Where I Stand On A Few Things
Immigration. Yeah sure I'd like to help people in other countries. The key words are-- "in other countries". We can't allow unlimited migration onto our boat. It would sink. I'd prefer we do everything possible to make their countries more attractive so they don't leave it in the first place. Some of this can be accomplished through foreign aid. What would be more significant is tax incentives for American companies to locate jobs for these folks in their home countries. This would provide us with more affordable goods. At the same time be cheaper then fighting them at the border and providing freebies when they end up here. Wouldn't hurt these company's bottom lines either.

Trade Agreements. When you make an agreement you stick to it. You don't make one then impose tariffs willy nilly. Nobody trust liars who break their word.

Sanctions. You screw them-- they'll screw you by organizing with other nations we'd rather they not align themselves. In business sometimes you succeed in destroying another company. When it comes to world governments it ends up with wars against those attempting to impoverish it. Rising water floats all boats. United States isn't the only tin can on the dump. A country's greatness is not measured by how much it can throw it's weight around. Rather it's ability to unite even those who disagree. Peace and prosperity cannot be achieved under the threat of sword. It never has. It never will.

Ethics and morality. If a given society doesn't have enough reputable people it will not sustain. There's no amount of threatening government or church laws which can change this. Either the will of the people have them or they don't.
