The biggest reason of all is... because Texas is the only state to opt out of joining the national electrical grid. This along with doing a bunch of half assed short sighted engineering jobs. Perhaps Texas ought to check with Norway, Antarctica and Alaska to name a few who use turbines successfully below freezing temperatures.
