State budget could give NIZ developer $1.5 million tax break

"Changes made to Allentown's Neighborhood Improvement Zone law by Sen. Pat Browne will limit how much real estate taxes downtown developers pay and could save the city's biggest developer, J.B. Reilly, more than $1.5 million a year.... tax appeal case... was scheduled to be heard in civil court in November, but it's possible the new state tax code could end it before it starts."
