Covid 19 Throws A Spit Ball And The Human Race Falls Apart

In four short months this virus has nearly crippled our social order. Nearly destroyed the world economy. Our supply chains are in chaos. It most certainly exposed the worst and best amongst us. Covid 19 doesn't differentiate between boundaries, various forms of governments, religious beliefs, the healthy/the weak, the affluent/the poor, ethnicities nor any other differences we humans imagine we have from one another.

It's only goal is to propagate therefore insuring it's continued survival. Making it similar to what we humans have in common with it. The difference is, humans think they can rely on government and each other. During this pandemic we're seeing otherwise. While the virus steam rolls over us people have taken to shouting at one another. The useless noise has become deafening. Some are venturing forth into the arms of wolf waiting outside the door. Others have bunkered down in fear. Meanwhile the indiscriminate virus continues to evade our best efforts to outmaneuver it.

Know thy enemy
I'm not sure how we overcome this threat but there are a few things I am certain of. We can't ignore it, bluff our way out of this mess nor do any good to ourselves by fighting with each other. We know the enemy exists. We're both competing for sustaining our existence on this planet. Currently the virus has the upper hand. It will dictate to us how, where and when it will attack. There's little we can do about it.

How we react will determine our fate.
We have a huge advantage this virus doesn't have. The ability to use all the knowledge, intellect and our thinking capacities to outsmart it. On the downside we also tend to allow our emotions to drive us away from using them. Instead fighting among our differences. This virus has no such thing to divide them. Which species gains the upper hand and deserves perpetuity may very well depend on the differences between the two. Consider this. We humans are late bloomers Life on this Earth existed long before we came along. I'd rather not think this Earth could get along perfectly fine without us. It did once. Quite possibly it could again.

Wow, that was depressing wasn't it?
Proves there's a song for every situation.
