By now everyone should be familiar with the black man whom died in police hands. The problem here is there's so many bad actors it's hard for me to know where to begin. First you have the four cops who obviously went over the line setting this all in motion. Then you have the protests which got out of hand.
There's one video which seems to show a cop in disguise smashing a window in St. Paul whereupon a protestor with a baseball bat confronts him chasing him off. Two trains of thought emerged from this. Was it a cop in disguise trying to set up the protestors OR was it the protestor trying to set up the cops (false flag).
It doesn't help either when cops cuffed a black reporter and took his crew downtown yet interfered with none of the others mostly white. What's with that?
And of course Trump had to get into the act tweeting something which implied he'd be pleased to order the military in to execute looters. Seems kinda drastic to me. Then followed up with his continuing war with Twitter when they flagged it. Course he had to bash the mayor's handling of the situation on Twitter along the way. Seems when he's not watching TV he's hanging on the phone. What... he didn't have the mayor's phone number to lodge his complaint with him directly? Instead apparently favoring to publicly shame the mayor on Twitter.
Some of this could have been avoided if prosecutors would have charged the cops the first day. Instead it's now been three days. ON THE OTHER HAND. Sources close to the prosecutor's office said they want to be absolutely sure they could build an air tight case. The reasons given was because they lost several other prosecutions against cops. Thus implying the justices in that area tend to rule in favor of the police.
UPDATE:As I'm composing this it's just been announced the main culprit has been charged with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter. (In Minneapolis a maximum of 25 years for 3rd degree murder. 10-15 years for manslaughter)
What concerns me is how all the good cops who work hard everyday will be sucked into this mess. They don't deserve the disrespect likely coming to them after this. Most cops put themselves on the line to try and make this country a safer place.
Not all white people are raciest. Not all people of color are criminals. When you have this kind of situation it tends to revert people back to their primitive tribal nature of forming one group against another.
Like I said there's far too many bad actors involved in this situation. Let's see each individual for what they are. Those who perpetuate discord. Others who repudiate it no matter what uniform they wear, what ancestry they may be or their station in life. The challenge here is to separate the good from the evil who will cause further harm. We each should ask ourselves whether we are contributing to further discord or setting ourselves apart from it. It's not up to the politicians, what the media tells us. Not even what social media expounds. Each of us are responsible for our own words and actions.
