Think About This Before Your Next Take Out Meal

Whether it's a large or small employer I don't feel it's their responsibility to pay people too sick to come to work. I would like to see it factored into government unemployment benefits. If not perhaps private insurance could offer sick benefit plans. OR perhaps both private and government plans could be made available as an option for workers to sign up for at low cost. If workers don't want to sign up and pay for these it would be at their own risks for not doing so.

As I see it, right now neither the government nor one's employer should be burdened with this responsibility. It should be on the workers themselves These insurance plans (whether government, employer sponsored or private) should be made available as soon as possible so we don't find ourselves in this same situation again.

As for this person in the video.. he would have had the option to take advantage of a low cost plan such as this or face the consequences for not doing so. It's all about taking personal responsibility.

  1. To the extent that I can do so, I am trying to patronize the smaller family-owned restaurants for take-out. They have been hit very hard and I worry that many will be closed permanently after Wolf lifts his order.
