Why Are Robins Here?

This morning we woke up to see at least four dozen robins flying around aimlessly from tree to tree. Then all in a sudden at 11:15 AM they all disappeared. Makes me wonder if they did a u-ie and head back south or press their luck by heading further north.

Here it is not even halfway through February and I've seen my first robins of what is suppose to happen in spring. Hmmm, I wonder if they were following the groundhog's prognostication for an early spring? Instead were they following some bad advice from their leader?

  1. From what I remember about Pennsylvania Robins they used to arrive the middle of February
