Did You see Bernie Sander's honeymoon video. I looked at it on YouTube. Is it the one where they were singing "This Land" at a nudist camp back in 1988 in the Soviet Union... is this the one you meant?..
Although I wouldn't vote for Bernie I found his foreign policy view on Nicaragua quite interesting being we heard little to nothing about his foreign policy views when he ran.
I get the impression from the video (even though his opponents try to brand him a socialist) he made sense on how we (as Democracies) should approach South American communist countries.
Basically what he's saying we shouldn't be strong-arming other countries. It will only turn their people against us if we try to invade their homeland.
Kind of reminds me of the old 'Country Joe & The Fish' Vietnam protest song which said, "Peace can only come when we blow them all to kingdom come". It was as bad an idea then as it would be today.
