Penn State A Black Hole?

"The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning today (Sept. 15) recommended for approval a 2017-18 budget request that seeks a $25.3 million increase from the state in the University’s Education and General appropriation, for a total of $350.5 million in support" (11% more)

My Comments About The Article Above
The Penn State Operating Budget for 2016-2017 is $5.1 billion. Presently there are 97,494 students enrolled at Penn State. At that rate the costs are $52,310 per student.

"The total 2015-2016 cost of attending Harvard College without financial aid was $45,278 for tuition and $60,659 for tuition, room, board and fees combined."

The same year at Penn State it cost up to $32,440 for a Pennsylvania state student, $46,272 for one out of state plus an additional $11,00 for room and meals.

Difference is Harvard isn't costing taxpayers $350 million and a degree from Harvard is worth a hellva lot more.

Something's screwed up
