Adams Family Coming To Civic Theatre Allentown

The Civic Theatre Of Allentown will stage "The Adams Family Musical" starting this Friday, October 9th, 2015. It will run for 10 shows only until October 25th with both evening and afternoon performances. This looks like another winner !

Ticket prices range from $20 to $31

We're not only fortunate enough to have the 19th Street Theater building still around, but so too the Civic Theatre who does all this great work. There's no better form of LIVE entertainment around who offer so much for so little these ticket prices cost. I wish them success in all of their future endeavors and hope people will come out and support them in each and every one.

(Unlike some other venues here in the Lehigh Valley they receive no public tax dollars)

The original Broadway production ran for 722 performances between April 2010- December 2011.

It starred Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth.

ADDENDUM
One of my complaints is how Broadway has transformed in many cases into being just another series of rock concerts. This musical's score reflects a 100% pure original Broadway style in the way they all should be.

There's nothing wrong with "Mamma Mia", "The Jersey Boys" or a few others, but face reality they are just makeovers lacking originality. It doesn't take a whole lot of talent to reproduce someone else's work. Both sounds were uniquely creative and brand new in their time. But now I want to experience something brand new I haven't heard or seen before. Broadway requires creativity if it is to remain truly a unique experience. Reproduced concerts just doesn't cut it.
