United States Can't Save The World

TPM (AP)--
Boko Haram Forces 800,000 Children From Homes, Uses Them As 'Weapons'

This, like so many other examples, is why no matter what the U.S. policy is or how much effort is made we cannot save the world.

It's like a game of 'whack a mole'. As soon as we extinguish one fire two more flare up.

Throughout history one nation or another felt it was their moral obligation to stamp out evil. It cannot be done. The best we can hope for is to protect and isolate ourselves from it as much as possible.

There are those who feel we need to eradicate evil before it gains a foothold. My reply would be, where do you start?

In most cases (if not all) evil destroys itself once people become weary of it (assuming they don't destroy themselves first).. As long as these morons don't get a hold of sophisticated missiles nor advanced weaponry they pose no threat to the United States nor any other nation. That should be our and theirs main concern.

What we see going on throughout the Middle East at the current time doesn't meet the criteria for escalating our involvement. I see no need to place our soldiers in harms way nor spending vast sums of money over what has become a religious free-for-all.

Sure it is shocking what people are doing to one another. Especially the innocents. BUT... there's no way in hell no matter how many resources we pour into it that we can put an end to these evil deeds. The best thing the United States can do is standby and fortify itself by uniting ourselves within. Thusly keep as far away as possible from the evil that surrounds the rest of the world.

Until or unless those waging war against each other unite against us it's best to stay the hell out of it. That time hasn't come. Nor likely it ever will so long as these evil doers continue fighting against and destroying one another.

Does anyone seriously believe these thugs are capable of organizing themselves long enough to become a serious threat to the U.S. or anyone else for that matter? I simply don't see that happening. How many of them can pilot or even acquire fighter jets? Who'd even sell jets to them? Players like Russia, Saudi Arabia, China nor anyone else would be stupid enough. None of these nations want them posing a threat to them either.

I tend to think (they like we) are watching the show as these people weaken themselves posing less a threat to any one of the so-called super powers. I'd even go so far as to say the super powers of the world are laughing at the fools if not orchestrating all of this behind the scenes. The only serious threat these evil doers pose to any of the organized nations is the rogue elements within. And that's what we (as well as these other nations) must guard against.
