On This Day The Vatican Library Announced ....

On April 12, 2012 the Vatican library announced plans to start digitizing and making accessible some 1.1 million ancient pages from their archives over the internet in partnership with the Bodleian Libraries @ University of Oxford

Here's what's available so far online from Bodleian Libraries @ University of Oxford in England and at the Vatican itself in Italy.

I am, astounded how far technology and the internet has come. Think about it. One click above and your transported to Europe in an instant. Then able to see what only a handful of people were privileged to have ever seen. All without the expense for lodging and travel. Nor most likely ever being granted permission to go inside. I, for one, am very impressed.
