Bigger Controversy Then XL Pipeline

Two videos and lots more details can be found on the link I provided. The way I understand it this fight has been going on for years. Back in 2011 the "Wilderness Society" put out the following video.



So what this all boils down to, can the mining be done safely? One side says yes. The other no. There's a lot money at stake. Two thoughts come to mind. If we didn't mine we'd be no better or worse off then we are today (financially or environmentally). On the other hand ...

That said, my regular readers know I'm both a fan of music and of history. The following brings both of those together.


It's certainly not the first time seekers of great wealth headed to Alaska
