China Has A Branding Problem

If I mentioned BMW, Toyota, Mercedes Benz, Honda, Ikea, Philips electronics, Gucci, Armani or dozens of other brand names I bet you could name the country they came from. However, can you think of one brand name that comes from China? Raw Story points out to us, "The world’s second largest economy does not have a single one of the world’s top 100 brands."

Sure China is great at manufacturing knockoffs or making things that someone else designed, but can they do any of this on their own?

It's no wonder China pays such lousy wages. Without foreign companies contracting to produce the engineering designs they've created, China would have nothing at all. Here's something to think about. If a company in the United States comes up with a product, why not create tax advantages and incentives to manufacture it here instead?

It's obvious China doesn't pose a real threat to new innovations by American companies in the market place. The only threat to the American worker by the Chinese is their ability to buy up U.S. companies so they can acquire brand name manufacturers. This is what United States tariffs and trade agreements should be focusing on. Instead we created incentives for U.S. companies to outsource their work to China.

Here's What Happens When American Manufacturers
Hand Over Their Designs To China For Manufacture

Kind of naive stupid don't you think?
